hehe the muslims prayer time is based on the movement of the sun. the five times basically : first prayer is when the first true dawn light is observed / astronomical dawn. second, when the sun passed it's highest position during midday. third, when the sun cast shadow of an object equal to the object size. forth, at sunset, when the sun completely disappear from the western horizon. fifth, the complete disappearance of the reddish color / astronomical dusk. these are just laymen explanation, the experts do use some mathematical calculations to determine the sun movements and angles from different part of the globe to determine the exact prayer times. hope you enjoy being in Malaysia ! ❤🌻

Glad that you guys were able to go to Central Market during Merdeka/Hari Malaysia month long celebration ❤ The first shop, the one with the Nasi Lemak pouch is from Bingka.KL. They do amazing Malaysian related items, like tea towels etc. The jewellery shop is called HIAS (which I'm sure you know since they gave you a bag), and it's my fave minimalist jewellery. Thank you for featuring so many local brands!

11:11 - Central Market was opened by in 1888 as a wet market. In the beginning, it was a business center for fish, meat and vegetables as well as other daily needs among tin miners around the Klang Valley. In 1936, the city engineer, R H Seed upgraded this large market building. In the early 1980s, the Malaysian Government agreed to move this wet market to another location and allocated RM9 million to upgrade and transform the wet market into a Malaysian cultural and arts center. On April 15, 1986, Central Market was renamed Pasar Seni. 12:06 - That is called "Putu Bambu" or "Putu buluh". It is a type of food that is widely sold in the night market. Another variation of this cake is called "Putu Piring". It is a type of cake made from yam flour, which is topped with "Nisan" (a type of sweet from the East Coast of Malaysia) or Gula Melaka ( is a type of sugar made from coconut sap )
