Loaded Omelets & Cheddar Onion Biscuits | Southern Cooking
In today's video it's a rainy dreary day so we make some vegetable beef soup for supper with Cheddar Onion Drop Biscuits!
We also make some loaded omelets for breakfast, and we got our FIRST tomato in the garden!! 😁👏💕
Cheddar Onion Drop Biscuits
Ingredients:
2 cups self-rising flour
3 tablespoons cold butter
1 ½ cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1 cup buttermilk, may need a little more depending on the thickness of your buttermilk
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Cut butter into flour.
Stir in Cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, and onion. Pour in buttermilk; stir until evenly combined. Drop by 1/4 cupfuls onto a baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
Bake in the preheated oven until the tops of biscuits are lightly browned, 12 to 15 minutes. Serve warm.

Been raining here in PA for days too! I pulled out some meatballs I made & froze. Put them in a crockpot with sauce then made sub rolls for meatball subs with baked beans. Perfect to warm you up from the inside out. We’ve had so much rain, both our 50 gallon rain barrels have been overflowing for days. At least we haven’t had to water all the gardens & plants!

Those biscuits sound delicious. Never would have thought of dried onions. I made chicken, bacon, barely cooked some onions and red bellpepper on peta bread. Topped with mayo and bbq sauce. We had grilled chicken left over from mothers day. Made a quick simple supper for me and my husband. Also a friend stopped by who lost his mom last week. He is my husband's best friend from grade school. His wife was resting from a test that day. We have our grandchildrens honors days all week! Last day is the 22nd.

When my husband and I were married for a few years. My husband got a wood burning stove. And we would make a fire in it and make us a cup of coffee and sit there watching the fire burn and drink our coffee! That was so relaxing! And that soup/stew looks so delicious😋!
