RE: PAUSING, EXPRESSIONS & AIR-INSTRUMENTS:
Please be mindful that we will pause (we prefer to react in the moment & to avoid copyright strike), we will react with enthusiasm, smiles, tears, conversation, exchanged looks and air-instruments. We are expressive by nature and are truly very quirky in every sense of the word. This is who we are and this is what we’ve got to offer. We understand it may not be for everyone, but here's to hoping you all enjoy and we absolutely love positive comments and feedback.
RE: LIVE VERSIONS vs STUDIO:
Check out why we haven't uploaded any live versions... yet. They will be coming, we promise!

One of my favorites. I think the melody at the beginning and end is one of the most beautiful I've ever heard.

Y'all are doing so much Porcupine Tree that's heard by too few. 🤘 I gotta suggest 'A Smart Kid' from their album Stupid Dream. First heard it when quarantine intially started and lyrically it was so ironic: It kinda became my anthem for the times.

If there's one song I don't get tired of listening to, it's this one. Everything perfect, melody, lyrics, arrangement. This texture that Richard makes with his keyboards is beautiful.

'Recordings' was my introduction to Porcupine Tree. As you can imagine, I went from "never heard of these guys" to being a big fan and having half a dozen albums by them within a few weeks. Nearly 20 years on they're still one of my favourite bands. If you want to try another track from the album, then I'd suggest 'In Formaldehyde'

That's Steven playing the guitar solo. If you watch the live Tilberg concert you can see who plays what. They have an extra guitarist (john wesley) helping out but steven's solos are instantly recognisable.

I'm so amazed you reacted to this song. 'Recordings' is one of the greatest treasures in the PT catalogue, and I haven't seen any big reactions to it. It's fantastic that you're doing it before everyone else.

Yet another masterpiece! These guys have no problem taking there time! Just a group of very talented musicians . The combination is perfect. Nobody showboating. Just playing simple but its so atmospheric. So happy to see this reaction! Great request! Great reaction. Love you both!

The Porcupine Tree is one of my favourite bands and my biggest regret was I missed seeing them in concert because I had to catch a plane the day before to get back to my job and thinking I will see them one day. Then they bloody split!!!!!!!

Hi this album is a collection of unreleased tracks. Some were b.sides to singles. Others meant for Lightbulb Sun but didn't finish the recordings in time and wasn't put on the follow up album either. That track began in 1999 unfinished, so technically these tracks are older than that album dated 2001. Steven just decided to release some older material together. For the band they never quite made the cut for any album....which makes you think - If these were not good enough ? Wow ! Lol The further you go back with P.T the more they sound like Pink Floyd. My favourite is "The Sky Moves Sideways" - There are 3 versions on the album of the same name... My favourite is - 'Phase One' at 18 minutes long. The second 'Phase two' is shorter by less than 2 minutes and then there is "Alternate Version' at almost 35 minutes long, but lacks much of what makes 'Phase One' so brilliant. It is the superior version 100%. Incredible track. [ Curiosity will certainly have you want to hear all 3 versions, but begin with Phase One & it's track 1 on the album. ] Great reaction again. Good to see you are hearing older material - You are seriously in for a treat with so much to hear. X

I always have a smile on my face the whole time when I watch you discover another Porcupine Tree or Genesis song. Still want to see you do Luminol or the Watchmaker from Steven Wilson. But you should really do the whole Raven album, it's his best solo album.

In recent years, Buying New Soul has been the song I've listened to the most in my Spotify retrospectives. This song is magic, Barbieri is a genius. I hope someday to see the PT in Brazil.

Time for you two to explore the band, Japan, which is where keyboardist, Richard Barbieri started. I recommend Still Life in Mobile Homes, Taking Islands in Africa and Visions of China.

How have I not heard this song??? Omg, that beginning with the cello? So well done it made me a bit teary. Wait….. ok, I have heard it but just forgot that incredible beginning. Then Gavin Harrison going off on those drums… wow. Great song and just proves that it is so worth Subscribing to your channel! The place where great music LIVES!

I fell in love with this song, well, this album...okay this BAND led by Steven Wilson back in 2002-03, and I STILL love all of it to this day. Imo he/they are equally as good as Pink Floyd, they are just so Underappreciated bc so few people have heard this music! So many of their albums blow me away to this day.

...I think it might be time for you to check out Gentle Giant; funky jazz fusion and as complex as Yes. Try "Proclamation". SW has a hand with them of late - but it's definitely not starter stuff. :) Great reaction!
