During my lifelong love of music, and in my humble opinion, there have been three artists from whom I cannot single out a 'below par' piece of music.... The Beatles, Steely Dan and Steven Wilson..... So heartwarming to see you both enjoying this exceptional track. 👍👍👍👍. Cheers Bob..

As you guys may know or remember (despite all my decades of loving Genesis and Yes), I am a HUGE Porcupine Tree / Steven Wilson fan. He is pretty much my favorite artist -ever. As a result, I recently did a KZbin Search for P'Tree / Steven Wilson Rarities, and you would not believe the treasure trove of songs that came up! Almost a 100 songs I'd never heard of. You have to listen to his 1996 album Signify (especially the track Dark Matter), but also Stupid Dream

I truly love and respect this guy.He is just a great composer! I think what draws me into everything he does is, he just knows when to place extremely subtle instrumentation throughout songs. And they just always feel so thought out and perfectly placed. Nick , i agree that he will be remembered and thought of as one of the best. As it pertains to just being a master of his art! Very cool song. Will be making it to my spotify playlist. Beautiful track! Thanks for this one! Take care my friends!

Yes there is a new Porcupine Tree album on the way this summer. There's also European and US tours to follow. European dates have already been announced. I love this song. I think it's one of the best SW has written, especially lyrically. The verse parts have always given me Joni Mitchell vibes.

I love this! Thanks guys! I haven't heard anything from this guy that I haven't loved. I've been delving into Jethro Tull recently. Basically, going through all of the albums in order. I just finished the 70s ones. Anyway, I mention this because I found out Steven Wilson remixed the back catalogue of the Tull albums a few years ago. Stereo mixed and also includes bonus tracks, unreleased stuff. He did the same for YES, for King Crimson, Gentle Giant and some others. That says a lot about his talent and ear for things that he was asked to do that. I knew he had produced albums for other bands, including the Opeth albums "Blackwater Park", "Deliverance" and "Damnation".

This album is where my Steven Wilson journey started and thus, by far, my personal favourite in regards to his output. I saw him on tour with Grace For Drowning in early 2012 and if I recall correctly, he had Guthrie Govan with him on the stage. Sadly, there were only a litle more than 100 people at the concert, but boy did Mr. Wilson and his band perform beautifully that evening ...

I believe you have the Deluxe Edition of this album and "The Raven That Refused to Sing (And Other Stories)"? After you received them from your fans, I got the same copies at my fave store, I have yet to dive into them, though I know about 3 songs from each. I HIGHLY recommend seeing the "Videos" from Raven, you will really appreciate the "Animation" and care that went into them. You will definitely need a Kleenex for each of you, as the stories/visuals are very sad and melancholic. This was perfect music to play outloud under a starry sky, or on headphones in the dark, with only the lights from a stereo system. - One day Nick, we will both get to catch-up on the music, and _creating_ "Art". Thanks Paul, and N&L for another Wilson production!

I know how you feel Nick, I’m a musician myself and would love to be able to compose more of my own music (I’m fortunate enough to have a band I jam with around once a week at least) but it’s very difficult to find the time with work and life in general keeping me so busy. I was actually just thinking yesterday about how I want to take more time to play guitar (I started out on that but now play drums and bass in my band) and try to write some songs whenever I have spare time. However, even that can be difficult because I need to be in the right frame of mind to do it, if I try to force myself to play it just doesn’t work! Anyway, if you do ever record music, please post it on your channel or let us know somehow; I would be very excited to hear it! And for now, it’s fantastic to have your channel as it is. You guys have such a positive vibe and cover a lot of the music I love. Thanks so much for sharing your time and thoughts with all of us! Oh, and by the way, you can’t go wrong checking out any other song from this album, they’re all great! Take care and rock on 🤘🤘

But the first track is called Hold Out Your Hand, and there's another track called Lucky Seven which is also great. The band is Chris Squire, Bill Bruford (former Yes drummer), and the keyboard player is Patrick Moraz, who also played with King Crimson, and alot of the London Symphony Orchestra.
