We’ve headed inland! We take a trip out to what’s become our favourite national park in Australia: Karijini, and explore the epic free camps and gorges in the area. We also stop into Bullara Station on our way out there and enjoy the best station stay in Australia!
In this episode we:
- Embrace all the iconic things to do at Bullara Station including burger night, scones, and bucket showers
- Take a trip out to the Exmouth Gulf
- Make the big drive out to Tom Price and Karijini
- Stay at Buddha’s Overnighter, our first amazing free camp right next to Hammersley Gorge
- Venture further into the national park to stay at Dales Campground
- Attend a welcome to country, smoking ceremony and corroboree by the local Banjima people
- Explore Knox Gorge, Weano Gorge (Handrail Pool) and Hancock Gorge (Kermits Pool)
- Walk from our camp down to Dales Gorge to see the spectacular Fern Pool and Fortescue Falls
- Head out to our new favourite free camp: Albert Tognilini and spend a few days relaxing, cooking on the fire and taking in the views
We hope you enjoyed watching this episode and thanks so much for the support and kindness on our videos! We're on the trip of a lifetime as we travel Australia full-time so subscribe now to see the whole adventure.

The smiles on your faces say it all… We visited Karijini during our 3-month trip to 🇦🇺 (NT and WA) in 2009. The Karijini hikes with our twins, celebrating their 4th Birthday in Coral Bay, are an epic part of our 'family history'😂 Next month they turn 18 😉 Greetz from Europe

I lived and worked this country for most of my life. You’ve captured it’s beauty magnificently. Nice work. It’s even more spectacular in summer when in the afternoon, massive storm cells roll in. It’s a sight to behold. This part of land is the oldest in all of Australia . It never gets the accolades it deserves. Thanks for the upload.

Mate thank you for the kind words & you have just added another item to the bucket list. A storm cell rolling through the Pilbara would be a sight to see. Get chills thinking about it!! There is a doco about the Pilbara I have been meaning to watch which details how it has formed and changed over the years… just amazing & again thanks for tuning in 🙌🏼🤙🏼

Big call but I think this may be my fave episode of yours so far ( or maybe a draw with the Cape ones 😂). I loved every second of this one, and yet again you had me smiling the whole way through. Outback Aus and red dirt is my happy place and your photography of these amazing ‘enchanting’ spots is next level stunning. Love the joy you feel at each new spot you visit, it’s contagious, and so good to see you catch up with Sue and Deryck. Still so many more amazing adventures ahead ❤️❤️❤️

So glad you went out to Karijini. We called the Pilbara home for 30 years and believe me, you have only scratched the surface of it. There is so much more to see as you head further north. The Oakover River and Carawine Gorge are a must do inland detour you will not believe exist. Safe travels.

Only just doscovered your channel. Looks like I have a lot of video viewing to do LOL. Great stuff. Good grief the crowds up there are pretty bad though. I am rather glad we went round Oz in the 90s when we had many spots completely to ourselves. Pity there was no decent camera gear back then though... We spent a long time over the years up in the Pilbara and although it is pretty harsh country, it is my favourite place in Australia.

Hi Brad & Hayley thankyou that was an awesome episode, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and didn't want it to end and very much looking forward to the next episode, The filming of the scenery was so well done and you look so natural doing the Comentry. I got the feeling Brad by the look on your face that water was soooo cold. The free camps looked amazing. I did like the way you cover your fridge vents etc to help keep the red dust out. Enjoy your travels and stay safe. Cheers Peter

We loved that you thanked your grandparents for the location, I will hopefully thank you and your grandparents one day in the future too. Yep definitely going back to The Pilbara, I've just finished editing our memories for uploading on KZbin and I actually cried at the end of our Karijini experience, so stunningly amazing.
