Glad to see the first dump experience. I don't have and rv yet but my outfit for that will include wellies, gloves, mask , soap and bleach. My dumping shoes will not be allowed inside the rv. I think it will take sometime to train my hubby to change shoes after dumping 😅.

Just a tip, you should always fill your black tank before dumping (helps to get everything out) and if possible rinse at least once. Then empty your grey after to get rid of the remnants from the black. I always rinse my tanks a couple of times when I have full hook ups just because I can. Helps prevent any smells.

Water hook up tip...get a 90 deg elbow for your rig at the hose connection as it will take the weight off the fitting. Also, put your filter closer to the water tap, that will also take the weight off your water connection fitting. And we love camping at the Fort! It’s just the best!

Some unsolicited advice, when it comes to the black tank, water is your friend. After you dump, put a few gallons of fresh in the black tank. That will help keep it clean(ish).

It was great to show the tank dumps and hookups. Would be great for future content with other general everyday life in your RV such as use of AC, cooking, use of the water pump, and dealing with water containment with the shower curtain. For your water pressure regulator, let me add a little suggestion. You would be well advised to put a pressure regulator right on the hose bib, before your hose...not after your hose. When I first got my RV, I did it the way you did...hose bib => hose => regulator => filter => RV. Guess what happened? The high PSI at the park we were at blew up my hose! So, best to regulate your pressure before it goes into the hose. One more thing, if you haven’t been doing it, make sure you sanitize your hose bib BEFORE you attach anything. The folks before you may have hooked up their black tank flush hose to that very same hose bib, so spray it down a bit with a disinfectant like Clorox or Lysol before connecting, and please, use a dedicated hose for fresh water and a separate hose for black tank flush (you probably already know it, but some folks don’t).

Jason, Good old shaving cream is an excellent moisture repellent. Working on anything from windshields to glasses, shaving cream is known for creating a protective barrier that protects glass from fogging up. All you need to do is use a dab of it on your lenses, rub across your glasses with a dry towel, and wipe down
@dianashelton13714 жыл бұрын

We’ve had the roof inspected by our dealer and I’ve been up in the roof and I didn’t personally see any issues or anything that concerned me, if anything I thought the roof looked really good (tightly sealed and well layed) not saying your wrong but to see it in person versus a video is quite a different story. We just visited Fort Wilderness Campground and would not come back. Out of the many videos discussing the property they don’t really highlight just how far apart things like pools are. Golf cart rentals are 69$ a day on top of very expensive campsites. You could stay at a hotel on property and have easy access to pools and food. Don’t get me wrong we love to camp but we would not recommend camping here. We are in fact surprised at how many people love it here. Disney itself was wonderful as always but the campground is way overpriced and unless you add on one of those carts it makes it impossible to get to amenities easily.... endless bus waiting...little signage.... even things like the luggage hold... our grown daughters flew in to meet us. So when leaving we had their luggage picked up and left at the desk for when they were going to leave. When they got back from Magic Kingdom the luggage was sitting outside behind a bench..... yep in the wide open...thankfully our college students laptop was not stolen.
@EECCTravels3 жыл бұрын
It is on the high end but we enjoy it there. The first time we went we were in the cabins and we were surprised how big the place is and the internal bus system takes some getting used to. So we knew what to expect on this trip in the RV.
@davva3604 жыл бұрын
Fort Wilderness is cool but way overpriced. Then it is Disney. The best benefit to me was being able to reserve rides further out than normal using your Disney pass. It was the only way to get on the Avatar ride when it first opened without waiting half your day. Its funny you mention the beer rule. I am not sure if its a Florida rule or just certain Counties that stick to that. I live in Florida and never come across it, still its not a time I would typically be buying beer LOL. I do remember in PA they had some weird rules about buying beer.
