Andy was the youngest of the family. Loved more than anything. His passing was a tear in the fabric of his family. He passed at only 30 years. I grew up on not only the Bee Gees, but also Andy.🙁

This was one of Andy's biggest songs. The tribute was Barry singing the first verse and through the magic of the video, Andy sang the second verse. It was so emotional watching the other three brothers listening to Andy singing.

This song is very touching and emotional. There are 4 boys in the Gibb family. Andy was the 4th boy and the youngest who died young tragically before 3 older brothers. He wasn't in the Bee Gees band. He went solo successfully with the help of his brothers. Bee Gees consisted 3 brothers Barry, Robbin & Maurice(twins). We've lost 3 Gibbs leaving the oldest one, Barry Gibb alone. Their music will live forever!

Andy had a solo career because he was 14 yrs younger and the brothers already were established. Andy died at age 30, heart complications. Barry the oldest is the only brother alive.

Andy was a singer in his own right; he had a hit with this song and so they paid tribute to him with it. Andy also had other hits such as "Shadow Dancing" and "Love is Thicker than Water". The only living Bee Gee now is Barry, the eldest. Andy died so young, then Maurice died from stomach issues & his twin Robin died of cancer. React to "Spirits Having Flown"; there is a video of it on KZbin with the Bee Gees at their home down in Miami.. and Andy is in it too. RIP Maurice, Robin & Andy. We miss you. xxx New subbie.😎

Family was everything to them…especially Barry. They wrote the song and Andy recorded it. Big brothers sang backup and Barry produced it. Barry says it’s hard for him to turn around and see his brother(s) passing before his eyes. Barry loved love songs and country music. They had a lot of other folks who influenced them that they liked too. They grew up listening to the Mills brothers ( one of his dads favorite groups of the time.

Actually this was written by Barry & Blue Weaver. On Andy's version, it's just Barry singing backup and on the Bee Gees version, it's just Andy singing backing vocals.

@Mixed- Andy was the youngest of all the brothers so he wasn't able to join the band. He sadly passed away at just 30 years old in 89 of drug and alcohol issues plus he had a bad heart. I recommend you check out two great songs of his Shadow dancing and I just want to be your everything.

This song is on one of their albums in Andy's memory. FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS. Make sure it's the video where they're outside in New York. The sadness in their voices makes them sound different. It's a beautiful song but you might want to have tissues close by.

Their brother Andy has quite a few big hits himself before he died I think he was around 30 or 32 when he died from complications from drug abuse. But he actually made this song Famous the Bee Gees never used to sing it until after Andy died but then they did sing it some after he died just because they wanted it out there so people would remember cuz Andy was gone.

They did use this song in a tribute for their brother Andy but they actually wrote this song for their brother Andy and if you look at Andy Gibb's music you will find it he had a big hit with this song and personally I actually like the version that the Brother Andy Gibb saying they actually wrote the song for him and you can tell it's I think it's a bit of a better performance as a solo song Done by their brother Andy.

MIxxED REACTIONS In this concert the Bee Gees dedicated this song to their baby brother Andy Gibb who passed away in 1998. Andy a great solo artist in his own right actually released his own version of this song in 1978 for his Shadow Dancing album. This song was co-written by Barry Gibb but, the Bee Gees gave their baby brother the song first to release. The Bee Gees released their similar version of the song in 1979 on the Bee Gees greatest hits album. Even though the song version sound similar, I would check out the Andy Gibb version because in my opinion it's the best version.
