@user-ek3ks2xb3y3 жыл бұрын
i can hear it now, the story of the infamous long haired hunter. whos hiked through all woods, crawled through all terrains, downed many deer, tackled tons of turkeys, and anything else he can get tags for. and you’ll know. he’s hit his mark when all through the woods you can hear the woos, laughter, and the “ARE YOU KIDDING ME?”s. one cool crazy fella he is, legend has it that one time while hunting mule deer in new mexico he crawled right next to a 6ft rattler, they made eye contact, instantly respected each other, shook hands, and parted ways. feared by anything he can catch n cook, loved by anyone to ever know him, even if it’s just through a phone screen on the best channel to ever be made... a channel that has its own “AWWesome” legend of its own

In a world of Sitka, Kuiu, and other high-end, expensive camo, I like Roy's approach to the old school military woodland camo.

Always a fan of Zach’s enthusiasm!

Ahh, there he is. The long hair crazy man is back at it again. He belly crawled a 2 track and shlocked one, then a few years later hiked 10 miles deep and did it at 20 yards. New Mexico? No problem. Hang in there fellas. As always, KEEP IT UP BOYS!

Love your enthusiasm Zach. You go out and 'hunt', no matter the size of the animal. Success is dependent on what you learned more than the size of the animal. I have lots of un-notched tags, but I have learned something from each one so it wasn't a loss

Definitely a good job finding a mature deer on your first NM hunt. As a lifelong NM bow hunter I highly recommend you get some soft shoes and when you get within 200 yards of the buck change out your boots with some soft shoes and soft knee pads. It’s almost impossible to sneak within 150 yards with hard boots on them rocks.

zach your stalking technique has improved so much from your older videos. every step is more precise and purposeful. your crawling has improved two fold and your upper body don't sway side to side with each step and that's a hard habit to break. try stepping straight down with a flat foot on loose stones/rocks. heel first rocks tends to pushed forward as your foot rolls down making a lot more noise. keep up the good work guys!!!

There is a channel that does things like this regularly for mulies. Can’t think of the name. But they leave a guy behind to watch the deer and film what happens, and they each have a mic/earpiece system to talk to each other in case the deer gets up or moves or something. Works well in this scenario I think.

I have lived in the same area of NM my whole life. When I was young there were lots of deer and a few elk. That has changed. The reasons are NM game and fish. Predators and habitat. Look at the amount of deer tags sold and the amount of money spent to protect the wolf.
