@@kamkarter8821the carnival season is safe, the police keeps the country safe for those 3 days only so it is safe. It is also made easier to maintain law and order in the Capital since most locals do not participate in Carnival activities and actually avoid it. The festival is now scanty and pales in comparison to the days when a band was 50,000 members to just 2000 or 3000 today. The reason is CRIME. If you live in Trinidad the “carnival alternative “ is where locals spend their money. Flights are overbooked with locals leaving the country for carnival. I have participated in Carnival for over 40 years and I have worked in the industry and I have seen the dwindling support and participation first hand. Not trying to discourage you, just telling you what to expect.

There's hundreds or probably thousands of roti shops in Trinidad 🇹🇹, roti without channa, is on heard of, you guys needed to check out the more famous roti restaurants, where you get a wide variety, also, we do serve it with the skin separated too. So the wrap roti is call dalparie and the unwrapped is called parrata (buss up shot) btw pronunciation is a lil off, don't say rot-ee say ro-tee, so it's ro, sounds like "no" pronouncing 'o' , put it together you get ro-ti, glad you guys are here, been watching you over 3 years now, welcome and enjoy, be sure to check out D Avenue, or and our number 1 music 🎶 is Soca, where the home of that genre

Trindad is fine. The bad areas are in the hood and it's amongst the gangs there. Other than that they won't really bother you. If you had more time you could of visited the Caroni swamp tour. You will love Tobago. you can walk from the airport to the beach haha the island is small but relaxing . I recommend in tobago you try the "Curry Crab and dumplings" - I am from there

It seems like you haven't been paying attention to the news and the ridiculous amount of home invasions and recent extortions. And don't come with the "don't bad mouth the country" BS! I am tired of this complacency and delusion. This could be the best country in the Caribbean but we refuse to acknowledge the clear faults. We have educated people, great beaches and good food. We have good music. We have good manufacturing experience. We can be a tourism and industry hot spot. Instead, people are leaving as soon as they can. And that was before the relatively recent spike in home invasions and extortions.

Welcome to T&T 🇹🇹 Chris and Carol🤗. The Osmo looked really crisp at night👍.Just a bit on Trinidad's coastal history, beaches/bays tend to be murky during the heavy rainy season due to the orinoco river in Venezuela that washes up around Trinidad's coasts . in the dry season/cruise ship season nov-june) its a lot clearer and Tobago's waters are generally nicer and are not affected by it. nylon pool in Tobago is an awesome tour to check out

They probably didn't give you trinidadian pepper sauce to make your Roti Spicy hot because they must have thought you all couldn't handle the heat. But you need to have it with pepper sauce or kuchela. Amchar/Anchar as well. Also, your Bake and shark was missing all the different sauces to go with it. Those condiments elevate the flavour tremendously. You need to tour Trinidad with a local who will take you to the best places, especially for food.

The sand flies are there because those beaches are literally backed by the mountains and forest vegetation, whilst Maracas has some distance from the vegetation. Wish you guys had time to visit Chaguanas and South Trinidad. That DJI camera looks great, definitely looking into getting one. @@JumpingPlaces now don't get me wrong we do have crime in trinidad But mostly in rural areas And even ppl in those areas have codes they live by U won't find theft and stuff like rape rampant here It's more the turf war type situations And they keep those in there communities for the most part

@@JumpingPlaces While you do have to be cautious, people overexaggerate on this matter too much. Its the hoods where you have to be worried not where you were😁

Welcome To Trinidad and Tobago! Hope you enjoyed your stay in my country! :D For the sand flies you could use a product called OFF! spray. Keeps mosquitoes off too at night! The fruit in the doubles is chutney...you probably got tamarind or sweetsauce. My Grandfather was one of the first Doubles makers in Princestown. Ali's Doubles Shoutout!
