A magazine at an old fort refers to a place where gunpowder and ammunition is stored. Usually they are in a fortified building with thicker walls and maybe separate from living quarters or other facilities. If the powder magazine took a direct hit or caught fire it would be a huge explosion and very bad for anyone inside the fort.

Hi Carol and Chris, My husband and I are loving your Caribbean island hopping videos. ❤ I have the following questions: 1. When you are traveling from a Caribbean country/island to another Caribbean country/island, do you guys fly with US airlines with a layover in the US? Or do you fly with a Caribbean airline? 2. And if you do fly with a Caribbean airline, where do you book your flights? Is it online on their website or at the airport? 3. I was in Saint Kitts & Nevis. I wanted to travel around, but the prices were super steep compared to traveling within Europe or traveling within Asia. Did you guys notice that, too? 4. Can you make a video or address how much the tickets cost? Example: From Saint Lucia to Jamaica, from Jamaica to Trinidad & Tobago. I look forward hearing from you. Cheers, Jenny
@TriniMonsteraАй бұрын
There is an airline Caribbean Airlines that service travel between the islands. US airlines come to the islands from their ports but Caribbean Airlines travels between the islands. Caribbean Airlines also travel from the US and Canada to some islands.
@Travel_plus_adventureАй бұрын
Unfortunately, it is very expensive to travel between islands. For instance, it's cheaper for me to travel to NY or Miami from Trinidad than to go to Anguilla or St Lucia. It has to do with supply and demand. Not many carriers.
@jenmar9428Ай бұрын
@@TriniMonstera - hi there! Will check their website. Thank you. 🙏🏼
@jenmar9428Ай бұрын
@@Travel_plus_adventure - yessss!!!! My gosh! The prices shocked us. We also asked if maybe some islands have ferries. But unfortunately most don’t. Such a shame. It’d be absolutely amazing to have ferries for tourism. The island of Nevis is not far from Antigua & Bermuda, Montserrat and Guadeloupe.
@JumpingPlacesАй бұрын
As others mentioned above many islands don't have any direct flights between them which makes the cost very high. We visited st lucia because they had direct flights from Barbados. Other times we have to get a connection flight in Miami. Trinidad and tobago have direct flights to Barbados also. We always boo the flights online, usually checking sites like momondo or skyscanner which show all airline available

Thank 😊 you for the lovely video Of tobago have Not been. There for many years. Do have friends..there. Love ❤the color of the water 💧 Very tranquil. Not sure 😕 what time you were at the ⛱️ beach. It was very quite. Glad you had fun Yes Trinidad 🇹🇹 has beaches ⛱️ Beside Maracas .las quevas. And Tirico. Ar. Close to each other..there is Toco... In a diffferfnt location... Then in the opposite direction. In the west side of trini . Where the yatchies are There is down the. islands 🏝 So you have to take a boat 🚢 🤔 to get there Different kinda scenes Plus that the location of the fishing village. Of. Chagaramus.. And oh I forgot Mayaro. I use. To go as a child.. different location. Next end of trini... Morouga..and another area Cedros...those are far South... So their lots. Of beaches...it 😮..you needed a tour. Guide.. .

I'd love to go back to Tobago. I got a great deal to Grenada pre COVID and had a 20 hour or so stop over in Trinidad on the way home. When I heard how dangerous it was so I flew over to Tobago for the day. The walk to pigeon point wasn't too bad. I hung out on that beach for the day and caught the last flight back to Trinidad airport hotel for the night. I tried to go back last year when I was a part time nomad but never found any decent spot on that part of the island. Ended up back in Grenada and San Andres, Colombia instead
