That's a ripper of a start to your AdveNTure! Us Aussies would call this an Outback Road trip. Tyre pressure should always be adjusted whenever you go off the bitumen highway (e.g. on dirt roads or 4WD tracks). Reducing the tyre pressure reduces the chances of getting a flat tyre, but makes for a more enjoyable drive with less bumps, shakes and better steering control. All our vehicles come with a handy manual that outlines the ideal tyre pressures for different off-road terrains 🙂 Looking forward to the next episode!

Great video - very real, Thanks. So nice you had a great time. Overlanding? We just call it "a driving and camping holiday". The mood lights in your tent are there because they attract less bugs at night.

Great clip hope you enjoyed your trip over here in this vast but beautiful country. The chip in the windscreen reminds me of everytime i hire a car they ask if i want to pay for extra insurance (windscreen cover)😢. You are not the only people who have mistaken Ayers rock safe travels

It’s a bucket list item for us! Luckily it’s winter so the flies weren’t too bad but that also means it’s a tad cold for the beaches too 🥶 We have more Australian adventures on the way too 🦘

Great video. I've always been interested in Australia outback. I've heard it's a bit risky though. Could you also take a flight one day to Papua New Guinea? Thanks a lot and please take care. ❤

Ok I've just found your channel and I'm 10 seconds in. Gorgeous (Jacqueline), when you are driving, can I suggest you get used to lowering the steering wheel height, Max can easily raise it again when he drives. It is easily done with the lever under the steering wheel. This will make it much more comfortable for long distance driving as your wrists will be lower than you shoulders - where they are meant to be. Why? When standing OR even seated where are your arms? BESIDE YOU! So lower your arms when you are driving. It may not seem like much but for women (and men even - like me) it will significantly reduce driver fatigue. Another tip: when driving at night, turn down the interior dash lights to almost zero. This again reduces driver fatigue and eye strain. You really only need the dash lights on high when you are surrounded by bright lights in a city. In the country...not at ALL!!! But I would suggest NOT driving at night due to increased risk of hitting roaming animal stock. Also, If you spend multiple days out in country, get used to check the OIL AND water in the car EVERY FU&%*ING DAY! You can never be sure if you picked up a split in a hose line OR a puncture in the radiator, OR even a puncture into the oil pan the day before (due to rock or stick) and just don't know about it. The oil OR coolant could have drained away overnight and you could set off only to overheat the engine...seizing it prematurely. I know it can be a bother, but if you ARE really remote this can help save you thousands of $ and may even save your lives. Carry a tub of extra oil and Engine water - along with a jerry can of drinking water AS WELL. If you are travelling anywhere near the dirt roads of the outback, purchase a ORANGE flashing light with a magnetic base that allows you to pop it on the roof at the rear. The orange light cuts through the bull dust haze when driving and stops people running into the back of you when driving on these roads. You WILL notice that ALL mining company vehicles use these lights!!! For a reason!!! If you are spending long periods off-road in unpaved road surfaces, then purchase the wheel nut indicators that show wheel nut movement. after exiting a dinner of shop a quick glance at the indicators shows if wheel nuts have moved since you last check. An investment of tire pressure monitors is also a good investment. Make sure you have two (2) spare tyres. Get a tyre repair kit (as well as a First aid kit)!!! Do the first aid course, asap. Keep a snake bite bandage (handy in the glove box - outside of the 1st aid kit so it is handy - its likely the first thing you will need in reality)i n you first aid kit. USE a GPS in the car at all times - keep it plugged in and running, even track you travels. These are inexpensive but can even come with positioning locating software that can save lives. Learn how to use one if you're unfamiliar. ANY TIME you walk away from the vehicle in HIGH scrub or bushland take the GPS with you - especially when doing canyon walks and such. Make sure you BOTH know how to use it and understand it many functions. Keep spare batteries with you when you walk, just in case. Making sure it is turn on and GPS located before wandering off into the bush to answer the call of nature!!! In some remote locations / areas you can be 50 m from your car and not know where it is! try to do things together - even calls of nature - you can never tell or be sure of what will happen while on your own. This not only builds closeness in a relationship through shared intimacy, but increases time spent in the lonely areas of the outback and, of course, increases Safety. What if one of you were bitten while on your own? Would you know where to find them? Could they hear you? Could you hear them? Would they be in a conscious state to respond? Etc. I think you get my message here. Don't jump drive into water sources unless other have shown or corroborated the depth with you - medical help WILL/IS a long way away! Keep a small water filtration kit (there are many kinds of these that fit the purpose) with you in cases where you walk some/any real distance from your vehicle, just incase you can't make it back to the vehicle and need to spend time away from you base vehicle. Always use a hat, sunscreen, and Fly/ mosquito net when possible. Wear long sleeves of cotton fabric when able to reduce sun exposure on long days - if doing remote bushwalking, wear the typical mining clothing with the day glow colours and reflective stripes - Orange or bright yellow. This way if you ARE separated for any reason, you can be easily spotted by searchers. Talk less when walking as this dehydrates you with extra un-necessary breathing and will increase the need for water consumption. If walking for extended periods in the open sun and in direct sun light, drink in small amounts but more frequently. Don't be afraid to drink two or three 600ml bottles during a walk, but avoid drinking large amounts in a single setting. Take walkie talkies, extra GPS units and Your own bottled water and first aid kits (and purification methods) with you if you plan to separate at all. If you promise to do ALL this I will subscribe and follow you travels. I hope you guys have such a great LAP and enjoy all the enormous highlights and features that Australia has to offer. Whilst I haven't seen them all, I've seen great many, so they will be a blessing to you both, now and into the future. My apologies for the lengthy post, your friendly archaeologist. GB.

@@MaxandJacqueline My apologies, I just re-read my post after your comment and I must admit to my dismay with the lack of correct grammar. I was punching this post out quickly while trying to watch the video - I guess I got excited to get it finished - even though I thought I had checked for spelling and grammar. Clearly, it was not perfect. Much of what I suggested is for really remote exploring. but if you mainly sticking to the black top, you'll be fine without most of my comments. I have gained all the advice from years wondering the remote Aust. outback where they don't even have tracks. I know my suggestions sound extensive, but I can assure you, when he shit hits the fan and your stuck out there on your own, it is only prepardness that will give you a fighting chance to be located and helped by others. Good luck on your travels.
