Here is the kicker. According to Bruce. Batman is who he is, the real him. Full of anger, mistrusting of people, obsessed with Justice. Bruce Wayne is this the mask he wear for the world. So when he say, "I'm Batman", he truly means it.

Bruce is still just as important. Not just his fake playboy side. Bruce is still good. It's the part of him that gives batman a soul. Otherwise he becomes a character like failsafe. Where nothing but the mission matters. Depends on the writing. Sometimes batman does go that hard where Batman is so focused on the mission that he loses the point sometimes. That's why it's important for characters like Alfred, Robin etc they help ground batman and keep Bruce human

His superpowers are compassion, discipline, endurance and psychological tactics with inteligente and some other aspects. Bruce Wayne is just a mask indeed just like Rachel said. His true self is Batman, an incorruptible idea and/or symbol of hope for justice. Also I don't think if he was poor he wouldn't be Batman, at least a different Batman but his morals and what he stands for would still be the same. It's not the money or technology and status. That is Bruce Wayne, everything else is what who he is. Maybe not a hero Gotham needs most of the time but what they deserve. A Dark Knight! Damn, I love Batman hahahaha 🦇

So when i say batman, its all of the features of all media that dont contradict or remain constant. But yes, all the movie batmans in isolation make him softer. Welcome to the Nolan-Verse! "The Dark Knight" ('08) is the Sequel to this "Batman Begins" ('05), and then "The Dark Knight Rises" completes what is collectively-known as the "Dark Knight Trilogy!" IMHO, these are THE BEST Movies with the Best Batman that there has or ever will be!👍For Your Consideration, I would also Recommend Tim Burton's "Batman" ('89) and its Sequel, "Batman Returns" ('92)!👌

Since y'all missed the eraof BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES, I personally highly recommend you add the series to your watch list. There are several episodes, as well as the feature film MASK OF THE PHANTASM, that you can clearly see inspired Nolan's story in the Batman trilogy. Literally, an episode where Scarecrow is adding fear toxin to the water supply, as well as a few other key incidents. But, BtAS is legit a series worth delving i to for heavy. Batman lore.

It wasn't clear whether or not you guys know this: This trilogy is obviously DC, but it is not part of the DCEU. It is its own standalone trilogy, just like the Toby McGuire and Andrew Garfield movies were Marvel, but were not part of the MCU (although Spiderman: No Way Home *kind of* retconned them to make them MCU canon). Same thing here. These don't have any impact on any other DC films.

The league of Shadows, the original name in the comics was The League of Assassins, Nolan changed the name, because Bruce will never be with them if they're Assassins in the beginning, till he find out they're Assassins

I wouldn't call Batman a superhero. He rather is a hero, and his heroism is a necessity, while superheroes are mostly coincidental, ambitious or innately superhuman characters. Nolan masterfully works on this distinction with a realistic take throughout the trilogy.

Keep in mind the comment about immortality made by the real Ra's al-Ghul's (Liam Neeson) when he showed up at Bruce's birthday party. Keep it mind for one of the other films. Also, I wanna point out that The Dark Knight Trilogy is very realistic portrayal of Batman, a more down to earth version as opposed to the comic books and Batman's usual portrayal, where it's fantastical.

I like the first two Batman movies: "Batman" (1989) and "Batman Returns" (1992). But they're kinda goofy / gothic, whereas this trilogy you've started is more hard core and high tech. So the earlier movies are tonally very different.

After this triliogy the only other pure Batman live action films i would recommend is the original 1989 film and The Batman (2022 starring Robert Pattinson). Although The Killing Joke is an excellent animated film. You guys will love these movies though!! Not only is Batman well portrayed but all the villains are played by amazing actors who play them realistically and great.

those directors were considered when WB was still trying to figure out what kind of movie they were going to make. But every project, whether it was a sequel to Batman & Robin, a standalone movie or a reboot, was scrapped. Then Nolan heard about this and proposed his idea for a reinvention of the franchise. About the actors you mentioned, some of them were definitely considered by Nolan, others were Warner’s suggestion or just unconfirmed rumors.

And this is why I've never particularly liked Batman. He's literally "plot armor" the character. He's supposed to be a regular human being, yet he constantly does things normal people can't. And you saying "we can all be batman" is just another contradiction to what the character is. He's like the least-realistic character in the whole universe of fictional characters. Before the Chris Nolan reboot, the original Tim Burton Batmans are great. While they are not near as dark as the more recent movies, for the time they were very much darker from what batman had become known for from the 60's TV show.

Batman Begins is an almost perfect origin story. It sets up the mythos of Batman superbly. Origin stories are fantastic in general, so if that's your bag, I can easily see an argument being made for this one being the best film in the trilogy. But for a lot of folks, the draw of Batman is getting to see him BE Batman, DOING Batman shit, against his almost equally iconic villains... Dark Knight is the film that did that best: Distilled the character and his comics down to their best parts.
