Their target audience is way bigger than you realise.. all the genres they use are 90s genres so they actually appeal to a lot of older gen x people as well as they have HUGE nostalgia vibes for us .. I'm 46 years old and male and those of us who are old enough to remember bopping to UK Garage and drum and bass in our youth in the late 90s or loving new jack swing as a kid in the late 80s.. or the miami bass of my school days... with the exception of their first EP (which is what hype boy was from) all their stuff that followed was much more mature and lots of the songs have deep subliminal meanings a lot darker than what you assume on the surface level.

@@jamess870 nice! yeah 'supernatural' for example reminds me so much of bobby brown, new edition, old janet jackson stuff... Bobby Brown 'dance ya know it' was the first album i bought as a kid with my own money back in 88 (on cassette lol) so that song is crazy nostalgic for me... also to this day i still play my house and garage playlist daily and 'cool with you' 'new jeans' and 'supershy' give me the nostalgia of the likes of uk garage like artful dodger, misteeq and craig david from my uni days in the late 90s.. everything else they do reminds me of back in the day stuff as well....

@@VildaElinReacts be careful with ditto as it has 3 parts... the first 2 being 'side a' and 'side b' and both need to be watched for the full story.. also as a 3rd part is 'OMG'.. different story but its tied to the ditto videos... also all 3 are deep in story and metaphor so try and take in as much as you can :P

Thanks for checking out NewJeans. Even though they are relatively rookies and at young age, I believe now their target audience includes people of all ages. Even my parents and their friends are bunnies (NJ fandom name). Because of fresh sound, charming voices and smooth choreos, and their mvs are unique beautifully directed, they deservedly became huge. You should react to their other songs like OMG, Cool With You, Ditto, Attention.

One thing abt newjeans, there's always gonna be some sort of dark themes and undertones in their MVs (for most part such as: ditto, omg, eta, cool with you), or just a storyline in general (hype boy mvs, supernatural, right now)

''Isnt that mean for them to do that'' In ETA the Newjeans Girls dont physically exist... they are imaginary friends/voices in the head of the main girl.. she uses them to fuel her paranoia. Its possible in my opinion that the 'boy' isnt even her current boyfriend.. maybe an ex or maybe just someone shes obsessed with. NewJeans do this A LOT in their videos where they tap into the para-social relationships between fans and idols and the negative and positive aspects it brings.. its shown the most in 'ditto side a' 'ditto side b' and the 3rd part 'OMG'. Also in their latest 2 part 'supernatural video'. Its often missed in this video but its there. Newjeans appear and dissapear contantly in the car with the main girl and she also sees them as 'other' people and through her phone. This is most 'disturbing' out of the lot though as her paranoia leads her to murder. Newjeans have a hard juxtaposition where there appearance is cute but a lot of their videos have deep subliminal and often dark meanings.. also most of their music is 90s Clubland sounds so again they appear 'cute' but again juxtaposed against quite 'mature' club sounds that the girls would be too young to even get into lol

Oh Newjeans are amazing and in another level they are the kpop girl group with the most montly listeners right now, and have the song with most hours at number 1 in Korea's History, their album Get Up even got to number 1 in Billboard 200 beating the Barbie soundtrack, they are one of the best groups regarding dance, singing and concepts, and they participate in the writing of the songs at such a young age, the older is 20 and the youngest is 16, i recommend How Sweet, Supernatural, Attention, Ditto and Cool with you.

The songs you guys chose to check out (including OMG, another popular NewJeans song) definitely have that high teen vibe, young love and all but they have more of a late 90s to early 2000s y2k, nostalgic concept in their other songs like Attention, Bubble Gum, How Sweet and Supernatural (they sample Pharrell Williams in Supernatural) They use a lot of different music genres in their songs such as drum n bass, jersey club, RnB.. They also have contemporary RnB and UK Garage based songs like Cool With You and Get Up My favorite NewJeans songs are currently Supernatural and How Sweet

When NewJeans came out 1.) they came out of nowhere, no promotion or hits at all- they just dropped their debut 2.) their concept/sound was completely different than anything else in kpop at the time. Most groups were going for the Blackpink or Twice sound. They are extremely popular, but unfortunately they are caught in between a lot of drama right now between their subsidiary company and the company that owns them. They are currently on a break, but I am excited to see what they come back with. They will apparently have a new look (the 90s-Y2K trend in kpop can be largely attributed to NewJeans).

I'm a new subscriber and i love the kpop videos of what y'all post Newjeans hype boy they're hair are real because they're just debuted when they had hype boy. Eta actually talks about this girl named Eva (kpop fan) she thinks she talking with newjeans but actually isn't and the final part of that was one of the member of Newjeans and not Eva she was hallucinating. Super shy it was filmed in Lisbon, Portugal. The Korean film was shot in many locations throughout Lisbon, Portugal, including Marvila, Campo das Cebolas, Miradouro e Jardim do Torel, and a local market. And as you said they're were good in english two members are actually Aussies (Hanni and Danielle) and Newjeans hype boy which was filmed 2 years ago they're were actually 18 to 14 and in eta and supershy was filmed 1 year ago so they're were 19 to 15 they were still in high school some of them❤And they're the most popular girl group right now. The mixed language is intentional as they are definitely more global branded than most K-pop acts... an 2 are australian so english is native language, 1 is pretty much fluent and the other 2 are very good also but not fluent. A lot of their songs are actually like 80-90% english. You should react to the (un)helpful guide to newjeans 2024 version to get to know them and realise how crazy talented they all are.. its also a fun guide to watch... a lot of the other guides are innacurate, old or just boring :P

Apink and Girl's Generation for instance. Its still Amazing and Mesmerizing to watch. They have like a " Free- Style Concept " to Their Choreography. Still Dynamic and Synchronized. Their Choreos ( Choreography.) Dont be over all the place so to speak. And as You alluded to Their Songs Concepts are about Teenage Things if You will. I think i can or Teenage Angst. I don't think Any Member is is in Their Twenties yet. So, Their Songs are very relevant or relatable to Other Teenagers in Particular. But, to The Credit of All involved Their Manager and the Subsidiary Music ( Ador.) Company of its Parent Company- " Hybe"'- Their Musical ability, Songs , Choreography included appeal to Some People beyond Their Teenage Years. I like Them 👍 and im way beyond My Teenage Years. Their Song "Ditto " won 🏆 Song of the Year last Year in The K-Pop ( Where it all begin- Officially in 1992- ) Country of All Countries- " Korea "!
