Also, if you guys want/need to approach these series "quicker" you can try to fit a whole arc within a video (or group them by 3 episodes and ensure there's no harsh cliffhangers, it might require a little bit more of planning but it is okay if you want to get into the following animated shows)

And the earlier seasons of clone wars aren’t that good whereas ATLA started off great and only got better and better the farther it went on! But the last however many seasons of clone wars like you said are real good

you're in for a ride, this show really elevates the prequels and expands the universe, if you can tolerate the early subpar animation by the time you get season 7 its almost Pixar movie-like quality.

I am SO EXCITED for you guys to check out Clone Wars! Honestly, might be my favorite part of the Star Wars story, next to 'Empire Strikes Back', and 'Andor'... I hope you'll both be checking out the episodes that focus on the Clones, too. Captain Rex and Fives are such great characters! Bounce around this series at your leisure! Really, there's no wrong way to watch Clone Wars. That's half the fun! This week you're watching an arc that starts with "Season Two, Episode 16, Cat and Mouse", you finish that, and next week you could be watching a story arc that starts with "Season 1, Episode 5, Rookies". It's the BEST! Enjoy!!!

The thing about the movie isn't that it's bad, it's just that's three?? ish episodes smushed together that would have been good TV. They just had to do it this way to get people hooked onto those characters Caleb mentioned!

Timeline-wise, this begins a few months after the war began, as Anakin was quickly Knighted and started letting his hair grow out.

It's awkward because in the pre-Disney canon, according to the comics, Anakin wasn't knighted until about 6 months before the end of the war, so the entire series would have to take place over 6 months, but after Disney rebooted the canon that was thrown out so now it starts right after episode 2, which is what the producers intended

Love that you’re watching chronologically. It would’ve been cool to start with the Tales of the Jedi episodes chronologically then gone straight through Clone Wars, Bad Batch, Solo, Kenobi, Rebels , Andor, and Rogue One.

Such a great series. This one will really go into the hypocrisy of the Jedi code and the moral blindness of the Jedi council making decisions from an ivroy tower. Also, it gives us much needed context for Anakin's downfall. Prepare to love the clones in this.

This show is a gem. There are a few goofy episodes and some that feel a little bit like filler, but overall it’s great and has some excellent stories. In particular I love how it sometimes zooms in and tells the stories of frontline soldiers or civilians. Those are some of the best episodes.

Especially because you are jumping around, you definitely want to be aware that the animation quality gets far better towards later seasons, and they start to get linear as well. The movie is definitely rough watching it now but I loved it when it came out, (when I was 9)

Used to watch this show every week on Cartoon Network after school on either Friday or Saturday when I was a kid, definitely a fundamental part of my childhood. This is one of those shows like Batman: TAS where it can be watched by both young and old.

Hey, Caleb and Meg! The chronological order is the way to go but there are still discrepancies between the official Lucasfilm chronology and internal details from the series. Fans have resolved these discrepancies by making their own order but, by and large, the official order will suffice. CAT AND MOUSE: This episode establishes the tone of the series. Anakin Skywalker is voiced by MATT LANTER and Obi-Wan Kenobi is voiced by JAMES ARNOLD TAYLOR. The NON-CANON MICRO-SERIES animated by Genndy Tartakovsky that precedes this episode chronicles Year 1 of the war. Elements that carry over into the canon series are the Jedi body armor, Anakin's knighthood, Anakin's facial scar, Threepio's golden plating and the FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH ASAJJ VENTRESS, a popular character pulled from Dark Horse "Star Wars" comics. The INTRODUCTION of SENATOR BAIL ORGANA, future adoptive father of Leia. He actually says to Kenobi that he's their only hope! Lol. Watching people's revulsion over his clicking fangs is priceless! This episode is like a submarine battle in space and features the only instance of cloaking technology seen in any Star Wars film. The planet CHRISTOPHSIS is a world rich with crystalline ore and naturally-occurring crystalline growths which is reflected in the architecture. This episode, the next and the first third of the "Clone Wars" movie take place there making an unofficial Christophsis Trilogy.

Heck yeah, love that you're watching this, it's such an essential nowadays. I will warn you though, it can be a bit rough in the earlier seasons, but the tone gets quite grittier and more adult towards the end, and the quality just becomes *FANTASTIC* in later seasons. So i will just say, stick through the rough spots, it will get very, very good.

For me Clone Wars is Star Wars at its best because it makes you care about all the characters, old and new. Plus it gives you a whole new perspective about the clones and introduces a couple of essential new characters. Besides the live action series are canonically the direct continuation of Clone Wars, The Bad Batch and Rebels. Enjoy :)

I put off watching this show for a while because of me thinking it was a "kids show", but started a year or 2 ago, finished in under a month, and loved every part of it. For a while I was sick too, so I binged, like, 6 to 8 episodes a day. I wonder what was meant by people being weird, like, hating on stuff? IIRC, the Death Star theme, music sounding just like it, played when the stealth ship was introduced. I think them talking about ships having cloaking devices was a reference to ESB and the Millennium Falcon.

Every genereation of star wars fan as the star wars they grew up on and its The Clone Wars for me. It's influenced me so much and I adore watching new people discover it and appreciate it for it is. Star Wars can be a scary and intimidating world to enter nowadays but it's always a treat to see new people enter the fandom regardless! Excited for what's to come!

Admiral Yularen is seen throughout the SW universe including a New Hope where he died on the Death Star. He was seen sitting at the same table where Vader choked that officer out. Yularen is in white representing his affiliation with the ISB (Imperial Security Bureau).

Yeah, they chose him as a background character who looked interesting and didn't already have a backstory attached to him I like the idea that he stuck with Anakin all through the Clone Wars, and Vader presumably recommended him for his position in the Empire based on their service together. it also shows how well-intentioned people can end up serving evil regimes out of misplaced loyalty.

The editor for Alex Hefner put together a good order too I feel. I feel like the main thin is to cut out the more boring episodes that don't contribute to the larger story. But that will depend on how much of a completionist you want to be I feel.

I feel like you really need to watch the 2003 Clone Wars series first, because it introduces a major villain who also appears on this series without explanation That said you're definitely watching this one in the correct order, this was the right episode to start with

As a fan since I was 5 and saw A New Hope, (!) for many years I've come to feel that to have new Star Wars is always a gift, because if you view with an open mind and heart, each and every new SW created can add to the feeling of the whole. Because each and every thing made has ben made with love. ('Even' the Sequels)! I know you'll love Clone Wars, and I also really REALLY hope you watch Rogue One before you drift too far from the time of the Original Trilogy... and another favorite, the deeply under-rated SOLO!
