At night at the fair there is super loud music everywhere.There were also more food vendors throughout the entire fair,yall only saw a portion of it lol. At least when we went.It was super crazy busy on the Saturday we went.Lots of music around the gaming and rides area.We went 2 days in sept and oct.

Best day to go to the fair is on 1/2 price Thursdays. A lot of the vendors sale their signature food items for 1/2 the price. The first two weekends of the fair are very busy due to football games. So be glad you didn't ga e to deal with the overcrowding.

man you miss so much from the state fair it looks like you didn't see the big top looks like you didn't visit the Colosseum to visit the animals he didn't go inside the Museum's the only one restaurant that's in there with the water mill. looks like you missed the astronomy building. Did y'all even see the auto show? And please tell me you tried the world famous Coney dogs? but I'm at least glad that you went and hope you had a great time!!

Everything about the state Fair Of Texas makes it the best fair anywhere. It originated all the crazy deep fried stuff. It's where the corny dog was invented and Fletcher's is still the best you can get after all these years. You have the livestock area where you can get close to the animals to get that old school county fair feel. I feel like y'all missed out on a bunch of stuff, like the pig races, the dog show where they do tricks and such. The structures there are the 2nd largest or largest collection of art deco buildings in the world I think, built in the 30s. That's history. Of course you have the Midway with all the rides, but I love the simple stuff like the Creative Arts building where you see the butter sculpture, the winners of arts and crafts contests all on display. The massive car show is one of the biggest in the land. That show at the end has been better in the past. 2011's version was the best...for me anyway, Speaking of that Texas pride, when they played George Strait's "If it wasn't for Texas" then ending up with Lee Greenwood's "God bless the USA".....that'll leave a lump in your throat. And last but certainly not least....BIG TEX!!! I mean what other state fair has a giant 55 foot tall cowboy who talks and moves? Y'all gotta come back next year if Covid allows for it to run. I can't wait. I have some State Fair videos on my channel. It's a tradition for us native Texans here.

Definitely try to go! It may be a little more crowded (especially on the weekends) but the food options are crazy. Texas had a lot of barbecue, and it was good, but MN will have just about every type of food you can imagine.

One thing about the Minnesota Fair is y’all still have that old skyride like the one we had here when I was a kid. I’d love to ride that one more time. They dismantled ours after a 1979 accident. The new one is nicer, but a lot lower.

Very interesting! Definitely try to make it up - it can be difficult thought because it's so short. One thing we noticed about the rides specifically at the Texas state fair is that the ferris wheel is MUCH bigger than Minnesota's.

Yes, we drove the entire 15 hours in one day!! Mitch was able to keep his job remotely for right now so that was very helpful! But eventually that will phase out.

Awww Pretty Little Girl . I didn't know your Mom lived in Dallas Destiny . Did y'all go to the rally in Minneapolis , I figure y'all were in Texas . Man if y'all like Cajun food , you need to hit Lake Charles LA during the Cajun Festival , Lafayette has one too . The same companies do the fairs around the country , and their home base is Minnesota (I think). I knew a girl that was on the county fair board here . Gotta hit Gruene TX down by New Braunfels TX north of San Antonio .

My parents moved to Texas just this summer! I've had cajun food when I visited Louisiana, but I don't remember it. We'll have to check that out!!

Averitt Express has terminals all around TX , Dallas , Houston , San Antonio , Waco , El Paso , Harlingen , Laredo , Tyler , ... and probably more . I worked for them for 20 yrs , might be something Mitch might check out .

2019 minnesota fair 2.1 mil people...Texas fair 2019 2.5 mil...silly rabbit everything is bigger in texas😂...try a tour of cowboy stadium

Ahhh but we're not talking about total, we said per day since Texas lasts for a month and Minnesota not even two weeks. MN does 2.1 million in 12 days, TX does 2.5 in 24. MN daily record sits at over 270,000 and routinely gets 250,000 people through the gates, whereas TX has only broke 200,000 a day twice since 2016.
