I am like your friend, I am from California but every summer it was spent in Mexico. My family is actually by Vallarta. My dad is from Mascota(actually a ranch San Ignacio) and my mom from Cuautla. There are a few cool towns along the way. I’ve subscribed to your channel in hopes that you may visit those towns!

There’s a lot of good places to eat in Dallas. In my home town there’s this little restaurant Martinez grill y taqueria by downtown Lewisville on Mill St. I loved the food there. But the food in Mexico, street food and home cooked are another level of tasty! I have been watching doña Angelita de su rancho a mi Cocina cook and she just amazes me. How easy and simple her cooking is, it’s the love she puts into her cooking that makes it so good!

I used to live in Dallas (it's been a few years now), but I did find some good Mexican places to eat. So, maybe your friends can try these out: My favorite and most authentic: Paco's Mexican Cuisine at 1508 West Magnolia Avenue near downtown Ft. Worth. The tamales are wonderful, but they don't always have them. They do have Tacos al Pastor though. Although this next one may not be authentic, it was an enjoyable atmosphere, good margaritas and the stuffed ratones (not really mice, but stuffed jalapeños ) were excellent. One more, the original place on the NW highway near Las Colinas was the most authentic, but there are 2 other locations: Mercado Juarez. For appetizers, they bring out fresh warm soft tortillas, butter and excellent homemade salsa.

I love visiting Mexico in the summer I love to be able connect to that part of my heritage and that side of me and not to sh!t on the US but in Mexico I feel like u aren’t in constant state of ‘go go go!’ the people r much more relaxed and the atmosphere is calm. People don’t have a lot in Mexico but they make do and family and tradition are so important that it’s valued above any kind of materialism ❤️🇲🇽

****Trafficking Cheese**** Mexican cheese is such a scarce commodity that Mexicans use to bring it in droves causing the U.S Government to restrict to only 3 Cheese per vehicle crossing the border. Somehow my grandma manage to always make it through the border check points with 50+ Oaxaca cheese balls! 🧀
