Maybe they want some relief from the biting flies. Our family uses a large tube like thing that they can rub on and also, my uncle gets an old "broom" (they use on skid loaders) and he makes a scratching post. idk if that is something that would be feasible to move when they move paddocks, but hopefully get them some relief. LOVED this video. The cow running after you was so cute and funny. Seeing large animals like that running and acting goofy is so cute to me

It’s funny how the cows follow you guys around. So cute. My neighbor had cows next to our property and whenever the water got shut off they would raise hell and I would call the guy and tell him. One time they just got out of their property and came over to our property because we have a pond and they are so smart and know where to go. lol! 😮

I enjoyed seeing your morning chores 😊 the silkie in the duck coop really matches the energy and enthusiasm the ducks have😂 I remember having a dust bag for the cattle to keep the flies down. It probably had some chemical added but even empty it would help brush the pesky flies off the cows. Your pigs and turkeys are growing nicely 😊

I had the same problem with waterers falling over when they neared empty. I put a couple of bricks inside to weigh them down and voila...no more tipping. Have you ever thought about raising mealworms for your poultry? I did that for quite a few years and it was really easy and successful. Thanks for taking me along with the chores today! I miss farming now that I'm old and retired.

I once rented a house in the country and the owners ran a small dairy farm across the section and kept calves from the cows at my place in a fenced in area across the drive from my house. I would often wake up to an almost full grown cow peeking in my window! So cute.

Love your raised beds! We are done with fighting the Bermuda grass and aggressive weeds! We purchased raised beds 3x6 and are working on setting them up now for next spring. We both have bad backs and knees and just can't keep up with the back breaking work anymore, I am 67 and my husband is 70. We have not figured out what to do with the flower beds and landscaping but at least the vegetable garden should be much easier next year.

The best water system I've used for the money. That was a good video Kevin on the Amazon 5 gallon bucket water and feed system. Especially for a New Homesteader running on a budget. Excellent channel ✊🏻
