Very nice. I would have like to see how the dolls would fit inside the house. Can they actually sit on the chairs? Are their heads too close to the ceiling? I would like to see if the house is the right scale for AG dolls.

Thank you! You make a very good point. Actually seeing the dolls in the house would have been very helpful 😊 Yes, the dolls fit very nicely even while standing. On the lowest level and middle level where the ceiling is lower the dolls have about an inch of head clearance. There’s much more head clearance on the top floor. The dolls fit in the chairs, however, the office chairs and dining chairs are plastic and the dolls slide off. To help with this issue you might want to use something to hold them in the chairs like a ribbon or a strip of Velcro.The dolls fit and are able to sit in the cloth chair without the pillows. I have five of my AG dolls in the dollhouse right now😊 Thanks for watching 💕

I love the fact they included a bathroom. Adding this is a new thing. I love our generation, but I wish they would make their stuff just a little bigger. I wanted to suggest some big wooden beads or drawer pulls glued to those short pieces of furniture would make them more American Girl size. Now I am paying enough attention to what you are saying it’s a My Life brand, which is great, but is also short. I consider 🧮my dolls would be about four to five feet tall. I use that th measure everything. I usually use five feet. That makes most doll rooms to be less then 10x10 feet, which are really small. If you make your rooms deep enough say 24x24 the furniture fits better, any deeper and your child can’t play with it. I start my bottom floor rooms at least six inches off the floor, that makes easier to access the lower floor for play. Thanks for the tour, it’s a very nice house for a young girl. Wellie wishers would love it there , too.

I completely agree about the bathroom. A few years ago I remember thinking that I couldn’t believe no one made toilets for the dolls. I’m so glad that now you can get a full bathroom. As far as the size of the Our Generation dollhouse, it’s rather large, but not very deep which makes it more difficult to fit larger pieces of furniture, like American Girl. My custom dollhouses are much deeper which really helps with larger furniture. I love your idea of adding a few inches to the bottom of the dollhouse to make it more accessible. That’s a great idea. Of course, that makes the top of the dollhouse even taller, which for me would mean a taller stool. I have a difficult time reaching the top…I’m pretty short. 😂 Thank you for sharing your thoughts and idea.💕

In this video most of my items came from American Girl, Our Generation, and Etsy. I also use items that aren’t necessarily intended for dolls. I’ve found things like lipgloss that looks like a Dr. Pepper can and is the perfect size for the dolls or a mini brand food item. Once you start looking you’ll find all sorts of things. There are different creative ways to make dollhouses or buy an item that’s not intended to be a dollhouse, but can be used as one.
