To be fair, it's a mistake they inherited from a lot of human authors who have used a variation on the "cool sounding" saying: "Nations are forged in the crucible of war" Metaphorically it makes sense, as a nation is being torn and molten down in the 'crucible of war' it is also forged anew into something else afterward. It's an abbreviated metaphor. Otherwise it would be something like - Nations are molten down and forged anew from the crucible of war. Onward from that you're just into description rather than a metaphor which breaks the purpose of condensing an idea entirely.

@@wesleymoore3693 not quite we don't help none human DNA having aliens please see Ogryn,Ratlings, etc for further explaination also one of the elves is being tolerated at the moment by the Imperium so its not all aliens. Also most factions in warhammer want to exterminate every other faction that is not their faction granted I much prefer fantasy over 40k more factions and actually has dwarves and Ogres in fantasy. Meanwhile no dwarves in 40k and far far to many elves you cannot trust elves
