I am about to spend thousands on an olive green sofa! I remember in 1967 my mother so happy with her avacado green new kitchen!

When I was about three, my parents had their living room and front door painted a dark forest green. I remember watching the painter paint the front door. He told me to watch out for the wet paint. “I can repaint the door, but your mother might not be able to get the paint off of you”. The resurgence of green brings back fond memories of the mid fifties.

What a wonderful memory! It's interesting how colours can evoke such strong feelings and nostalgia. That dark forest green definitely has a classic charm, and it's great to see it making a comeback. Your story about the painter adds a lovely personal touch to the experience. Thanks for sharing! xx

Green decor has saved me $ thousands !!!! All shades of just green in my vases and house planters, , furniture, throws, pillows. Accents in only white and silver , and the look is stunning with all the green. . Bonus $ , my house is then automatically "decorated" all year and for thanksgiving, xmas, and springtime!!!! zero extra $, and zero effort. And no "holiday" decor to store or put out either. The green is out all year, and ready for any occasion. I just put real holiday flowers/ plants in green vases, each and every year. My decorating mantra is to stay "Evergreen". green is the color closest to nature. both stimulating and soothing at the same time. green is the perfect color.

Greetings from Santa Fe New Mexico! When I was once with the textile house of Scalamandre, I fell in love with their use of the colorway celadon at the time. I acquired a harlequin pattern in celadon and trimmed the self valance of the window treatment in an ornate silk tassel with celadon jade carved roosters! Scalamandre was known originally for silk, which I lined the back of pillow slipcovers in varying shades and tints of green. I too love green. 💚💚💚

What a lovely and inspirational video. At least three rooms in my home are predominantly green. I have a 'summer' bedroom and a 'winter' bedroom here in the UK. While the 'winter' bedroom faces the rising sun in enfolding egg-yolk yellow, black and gold chinoiserie, my 'summer' bedroom faces the setting sun. It has white painted floorboards, a pearlised silver/natural wallpaper of stylised birch trees which beautifully reflects the light, and makes it feel as though you could just step into the woods beyond. The room is otherwise entirely white and green. I found a pretty little French console second-hand for £20, and painted it gorgeous mallard green, with floating voile curtains. And fresh flowers of course. It is such a restful room and feels cool in summer.

Hi there, I am not too sure. You could try create something similar yourself? Or type in blue and green abstract drawings. You may find some on Etsy e.t.c xx

Could you please answer the question regarding etiquette when sitting in a chair/sofa that is filled with pillows in someone else's home. It seems that men and women have differing contentious opinions as to how these pillows should be treated. I like a pillow behind my back as I am petite, while my very tall husband throws them on the floor. The pillow arguments at people's homes is frequently ridiculous with the guaranteed visit to the bedroom where 'he' whines about not even being able to take a nap on his own bed. No other piece of decor causes so much strife.

Hello Julie, I would always say making sure you and everyone is comfortable so you can focus on connection and conversation is the best rule xx

@1:40 - Lots of split pea green in this video. Probably not the best shade of green to showcase. Plus, green on wood looks dirty. What you want to do is use green on shiny medium as accessories.
