I’m currently a homeless college student, and feel so lost. I don’t know how to get back on feet. I just go to the gym most of the day trying to figure out what im going to do with my life. Im really depressed, but Im still trying, I’ve been apply for many jobs but nothin, and my career I was pursuing seem like long lost dream now. I hate my current situation, and wish everyone good luck. Because being a 4.0 student isn’t working for me..😢

Im sorry to hear youre going through that. It can be soo hard when you dont have experience to get someone to give you experience its such a catch 22! After my divorce I was plunged back into the workforce with very little (outdated) job experience. The temp agency was my saving grace. They are notorious for working with anyone who is willing to work. I actually ended up working as a staffing manager after spending about 6 months as a temp. Best of luck to you 🤞

@@user-ll1nc2ru4t I was fired from the Honolulu convention center , & a temp agency sent me back to my same job. They were glad to see me. I just had taken a rest at my security guard spot on the back alley truck entrance..& they rolled up in a silent golf cart ..big boss also. No trucks ever come in on the weekend.

Does your college know you are homeless? With a 4.0, can you not get need & merit based scholarships? Apply to be an RA for free housing and meal plan? Apply for work study jobs at the school (they are typically paying jobs with a lot of downtime so you can study at work). Take advantage of the resources at school, talk to counselors and trusted teachers and see if they can help you figure some things out. There will be way more opportunities and help in a college setting than there will be after you graduate, believe that. I hope it gets better for you

When i became homeless after six weeks (i spent the previous six months in psych incarc.) i finally called my brother and he showed me i could stay at the campsite and he brought me a cooked breakfast every day for a month. I spent 4 calendar months exactly on the campsite, until i found affordable shared housing up north. Keep thinking on it, keep on, you will find solutions i promise. Love to you…🐇

Coming from someone who spent 2 years homeless it warms my heart to see success stories such as yours. I know how hard it is to come up from that and it's important to do things such as showing others that overcoming odds that seem insurmountable is something that is possible. I saw in the comments a woman making the point that you are no longer homeless and doing good thanks to your KZbin channel. Whether that comment was meant to come off in such a way as I precieved it(mild hostility) or not what is important is that your channel documents strength and hope to those still in the position of having nothing. Keep doing what you do because you never know who may stumble upon your channel and gain the drive and inspiration to pull themselves out of whatever bad situation they have found themselves in.

Im glad to see you and your fur baby are doing well. I was in your same situation with trusting people. I lived in my car for about a year. I joined a gym to shower and it was near a place to wash my clothes and just worked every chance I got. I saved up some money and got a nice house in St Pete FL and doing well. Im a Vet and love camping and cooking outside and fishing and doing stuff like that. Its not as scary for a male as it is for a female and I give you all the credit in the world. I lived in my car near the beach and really really enjoyed it a lot. Ive had woman wanting to hang out with me and I just wanted to concentrate on myself. So I totally understand.

I slept in a hot ass broken down van in someone's back yard for 2 yrs because I didn't want to give up my chihuahua. My living situation didn't get much better but I'm technically not homeless in a van anymore. Now I'm living in a room on the side of a crappy garage!!! It has water and power and ac though so I'm not complaining too much. I'm always on eggshells with these people because they want me to work for them. Most of the time I'm making virtually nothing for them. It sucks. Sometimes I have to much water because the roof in the garage is shot!!! Be thankful if you have a decent job and a place to live. I still have my chihuahua and now I have 2 cats so they keep me happy when I'm feeling down.

@@jamesbehrje4279 hi, I don’t know where you live but that sounds like you’ve been trapped in what is called modern day slavery, so please go to your nearest police station (or call them and ask them to meet you away from the property) as you can be rescued and saved from that situation. Even if they pay you a tiny bit it sounds illegal and you need to protect yourself. And if you don’t know it yet, you are worthy and deserving of protection! 💜

Kroger almost fired my sister because she had taken time off to have her hysterectomy because she had cancer. Before she was completely healed they wanted her to come back, even after she had brought in doctors notes that said she couldn't come back till x date. She literally just wanted to know she had a job in place when she was all healed and able to go back to work. Cancer is expensive. They did not care at all.

So glad I live in the UK. Treatment is free and you get time off on full pay in most companies. It’s illegal to sack you for being ill. They have to keep your job open. I’ve heard Americans don’t get much paid holiday leave and even if they do are discouraged from taking it. Terrible way to treat staff.

@brrookejoness God is great! But the greatest piece of wisdom I've heard "Have your faith in God, but tie your camel first!" 🐫 Humans are communal by nature, and therapy by a professional is essential to make it easier for us to see where we've made mistakes in the past and how to prevent them from occurring again in the future. I've seen too many times and too many people who truly believe that they can handle all on their own. And they ask why can't God help them. They rarely get to the point of realizing that God gave them the opportunities for improvement, take an exit, and instead they keep going down a highway of pain.

I have been homeless for 6 months now. I been living in a small ass car with me my husband and our dog. We lost our home that we owned for over 12 years to a fire. I am thankful that my 3 children were in school but I was at work for only 20 mins before my neighbor called me and said she saw smoke coming from the back of my house. I figured she was seeing my neighbors house that was behind me because my neighbor that called me lives across the street and I knew I didn't cook anything or light any candles before I went to work and my husband wasn't home at the time. Sadly it was my house that was on fire. It started in the kitchen. Our stove that was less than 2 years old and I never even gotten the chance to use all it's features. I had no insurance on the house and I was unaware the insurance was dropped. I freaked out. I never had a fire or even seen what a fire can do. We lot just about everything. My mom passed away when I was 32 and everything she had ever gave me either melted or had smoke damage. I was now living in the extended with my kids while trying to fix our home. We had to pay out of pocket to repair our home. We drained our savings and we were paying $ 120.00 a night for the hotel and I was paying for food for the family not on food stamps and all our cloths were gone. I was doing laundry that morning of the fire. All my laundry was wash and dryed I was folding and sorting I use the kitchen table to fold my cloths on and have the kids put away the clean cloths when they get out of school. So we only had the clothing that we had on the day of the fire. Sobi had got a few outfits for the kids. While living in the hotel dcyf came and check on the kids and they brought them some new cloths, food, and some board games and asked me what I needed and what I lost in the fire. They left and still trying to save our house we were almost broke. I had people from my church helping in the house they tossed all the drywall that had damage and tossed all the appliances that was in the kitchen. The appliances melted or smoke damage that made them unusable. Then my dad died 3 weeks after the fire. I felt alone no mom or dad no house I was so depressed then dcyf came back and took my kids it was horrible I was crying the police was there and they brought luggage and made me put all my kids cloths in them and my oldest was slamming his head against the wall saying don't take me and my twins took off and hid in the parken lot and Swamp that was behind the hotel. They said I was homeless even though I was living in the hotel then they said I missed a doctor's apt for my son which I did but rescheduled it. Now my kids taken I couldn't handle it and tryed to kill myself. I was all alone and well I am still here. I pray to God everynight to bring my children back to me. We lost the house we just couldn't repair everything we ran out of money trying. We stopped paying the mortgage and used that money to buy drywall paint wood etc. Now I am homeless and if I had my kids I was on a list for help with housing. And now that they are in foster care I missed out on that. Living inmy car is horrible my legs and feet swell so bad my sneakers don't fit and my pant legs get so tight I have to wear skirts or dresses so the swelling doesn't hurt me so bad. We are looking for housing but we don't make enough money to rent a place for our family. We have until the next court date to find a place or my children will be adopted. I had problems getting pregnant. I had gone threw 3 miscarriages and 5 ivf cycles before having my son and then when he was 11 months old we wanted to try again for another baby and since it took a couple of years with the ivf and miscarriages I wanted to try again asap and we did we got pregnant with twins !!they were born early and my oldest was 3 weeks shy of turning 2 and I couldn't beleive I was now a mommy of 3 babies under 2 years old !! I had 3 in diapers and I was breastfeeding too. At one time in my life I thought I was never going to be a mom and to now I am fighting to stay a mom !!! Now that I am homeless alot of people think I am on drugs or just a bum and don't want to work which is all untrue. I had 2 jobs and worked almost 60 hours a week then the pandemic hit and now I don't have a job and my husband is on disability. He only gets payed once a month and over $ 600 dollars that we should get in his monthly payment goes to the foster parents and they don't need the money they get payed alot of money from the state due to my oldest is on the low end of autism and my other son is suffering from depression and is on meds for that and before the children were with the fosters they are with now my oldest was placed in a dcyf run group home where he was sexually molested and locked in a closet and my twins went into 2 different foster homes and my daughter had to clean up after the birth children and my daughter had to walk 2 miles a day on a treadmill. They told her she was fat and will always be fat. Then my other son was placed with someone I know and stabbed me in the back. Because she agreed to let me live with her she had a huge house over 5 bedrooms and only one of her kids was still living at home but she was in college and worked and mostly stayed at her boyfriend house. So when dcyf told her if she didn't let me move in with the kids and if she would foster my kids she would get payed a pretty penny so when I went to court and told the judge that Pam said I could move in with her until I could get on my feet and they judge was OK with it but dcyf stood up and said that Pam didn't want me to move in and that she agreed to foster my kids I couldn't beleive what was happening. So now she had only one of my kids and had him for only a few weeks and she is in her 60's she would sleep all day and my son had to make his own lunch and get on the bus for school all while she slept then he was treated badly and she made him sleep in the smallest room that she had made into a storage room and my son would cry at visits and say all this and it killed me inside. Then Pam couldn't do it anymore then they finally put all 3 kids in the same foster home but this foster home is brain washing my kids telling them I set the fire and that I didn't want them anymore. I would tell dcuf what was going on in that house and I would be told that my kids were lied and that stuff didn't happen and as a parent you know when your kids lie. This state I live in put my kids threw so much trauma and I found out from our lawyers my kids should of never been taken from me in the hotel. So I go back to court in 3 months and I am her crying as I type and I hope someone out there reads this and could help me please

I’m so sorry for what has happened to you and your family.. But please hang in there and LIVE for your children! They need you. What’s gonna happen to them if you did anything to yourself?! They’d be devastated. So please, hang in there and find out how much help you can get from this. Your lawyers and social workers. Anything and everything. Once you’re back on your feet, you’ll be with your children. Please don’t give up on yourself. Ask your friends for help if they can, ask the lawyers, social workers. Anything. But please, don’t give up on yourself.. Stay strong and be strong for your children. They need you. I hope everything will get better for you soon and your family. STAY STRONG!!! 💕

I guess in hindsight, theres a few things I'd have done differently, like i wouldn't quit my job until i had another. Or I'd ask to be transferred within the company. I wouldn't have gotten a dog, especially a large breed that needs training. It sounds like there are a lot of issues with other people, like 3 of them at least in this story.

Meaning it should not be allowed in society.. there should never be a situation where someone can't put a roof over their heads.. unfortunately we live in a world of corporate greed and boarding of resources and wealth. If banks actually helped regular people like they do corporations or big businesses then regular people would not be struggling.. if the government made it illegal for corporations to treat employees like slaves and have zero life work balance then there would not be as many problems in this world

Prepaid plastic surgery prior to pandemic which would be 2019 early 2020 and yet didn't actually have this surgery until 2 years later!! Girl bye!! Maybe somebody who has no idea about plastic surgery might believe that they didn't allow you to have this expensive surgery you had supposedly already paid for because of the pandemic but I know that's not true because plastic surgery increased 30% from 2019 to 2020 and 50% from 2020 to 2021 so basically it was at an all time high during the pandemic! I've had a breast augmentation and you do NOT PAY THAT FAR IN ADVANCE its unheard of! You are required to pay in full prior to surgery BUT not months or years prior lol. Since you are given a appointment for surgery after your consultation and you sign all the waivers and fill out the paperwork. I paid the day of my surgery. This story is full of holes/missing information that you are CHOOSING to leave out.
