✨New here? Introduce yourself in the comments!
I’ll go first:
I’m Christina. I’m married to my best friend, Seth, we have 5 kids (ages 3, 4, 8, 12, & 15), and love our family, Jesus, and adventuring together.
I have experience as a public school teacher, private school teacher, and homeschool mom!
I love the Charlotte Mason education approach, and many others, but I’d say we are more of an eclectic homeschool-mixing the different aspects of homeschool styles that we love-living books, literature-based learning, unschooling, nature study, and so much more!
Whether you are considering homeschooling, new to homeschooling, considering alternative ways to educate your child, or just looking for some encouragement and inspiration for your motherhood journey, I hope you feel welcome and encouraged here 🤍

It’s great to see how other people do it. Thank you! I’m curious how your 16 year old does in group time, as most of the subjects seem geared towards the little ones? I have a 15 year old and he just doesn’t like our group time anymore and is often grumpy or disruptive during our time. He says I’m treating him like a child and thinks he is too old for it. I still make him participate, but he does it so begrudgingly that I am toying with the idea of just assigning him separate readings that he can do on his own, so he can feel independent. Any thoughts? We also use The Ology and Then Sings My Soul as some of our resources. :) Love those books.

I'm curious as to how long all of that takes, especially the read-aloud time. Those are a lot of books at once! My kids can handle about 20 minutes of read-aloud time, and that's one chapter or one picture book. I know that all kids are different and that we shouldn't compare, but I am interested to know.

Thank you for creating this video! It can be hard when “the ideal” in your head ends up looking nothing like the “real life” execution of your perfect plan. 🤪 I’m sure you have a cart or box next to your table that is filled with what you need, but I would also love to see how you prep everything for the day/week. Is it as short and simple as grabbing what you need from the box and flipping to the next page? Or do you sit down once a week and create more detailed plans/goals for each upcoming day?

Yes! I have a main basket I pull from daily! Some weeks I plan, some I don’t! This week I did not 😅 I think I’ll try yo share more about this next week!
