The GCN racing coverage is an absolute game changer in terms of the quality and amount of cycling across multiple disciplines that are available to watch and even at full price of £40 a year is an absolute bargain, the documentaries are also worth the cost. The rest of the GCN platform has had its day really and there’s other context creators doing it better now

GCN is kinda like Cade Media, the videos have changed and some people aren't that into the new ones, but the hope is the new videos bring new viewers in.

Honestly like Cade and GCN. As long as it is about cycling, im watching. But being able to watch road racing and now MTB as well under one brand is amazing.

GCN is entertaining for sure. Do I take their stuff with a grain of salt? Of course. Obviously haven't met them or anything, but generally, their presenters are likable and obviously don't take themselves too seriously, which in a sport like cycling is refreshing.

Sorry guys, but you’re wrong about GCN. It is most definitely UNDERRATED, despite the sponsored Ad videos. They film genuinely beautiful, even inspiring, videos and provide interesting cycling content for a very wide demographic. They’ve got videos and content for beginners, enthusiasts, race fans and even non-cyclists. Instructional videos and training videos. And they do it all with humor and an engaging style. They expose a lot of people to cycling culture that might be turned off by the likes of Hambini or more “serious” channels. It is only the cycling “cognoscenti” who turn their noses up at GCN for being “commercial shills.”

Cognoscenti = people who are especially well informed about a particular subject. Those people "turn their noses up" BECAUSE they see far-too-much "shilling" to those not "especially well informed" people, who can't tell the difference between honest advice and marketing bullspeak....and there's a LOT more of the latter on GCN than the former IMHO. Race coverage is one thing but self-appointed experts talking out of their a-holes is another. The latter is what gets them the hatred from the "cognoscenti" but that's not to suggest it's not elsewhere too...maybe even on ...Cade Media?

GCN does science is also a huge tongue-in-cheek joke. Anybody who doesn’t get that they are being intentionally ridiculous is a bit gullible. GCN is the Jeremy Clarkson-era of Top Gear for bikes. And that’s a good thing

Panda pops - what? You should have Styrkr products prominently displayed during the podcast. Not distracting, relevant to the audience, would not typically cause any hit to your topical integrity. Win-win

the live event coverage is great and really affordable at the moment. if they get bought out again like is rumoured then i fear for the affordability. A couple of the commentators they have have a habit of calling races before they are over which is annoying cause they are often wrong and its unprofessional. One of those same comentators pronounces Evenepoel in 3 different ways all within 2 minutes. just learn how to say it ffs. The youtube channel is for beginners. i dont think anyone other than a beginner can learn anything they dont know already. There are way better options to get cycling content. It seems like they just produce videos for the sake of producing videos. to get viewers. its big time quantity over quality. not to say they dont produce the odd video worth watching but the vast majority is just rubbish. The marketing angle is painful. they are paid to share bias opinions which undermines any integrity their opinions may have had, but then again, you could say the same things about most of cycling youtube these days. Its always the viewer who loses
