i live in New Zealand and i dont know if you found out what the siren was but its for volunteer fire fighters. when theres an emergency they sound the alarm so volunter fire fighters at their home or where ever they are can go and help out because they arent always at the station! 💕 i know they sound scary haha i thought they were tsunami warnings when i first heard them! 😂

My husband and I travel the exact same way! We have a general idea of our route but book places to stay the night before and just ask locals about cool places which end up taking us on the coolest adventures! We spent a month backpacking through Europe for our honeymoon and our favorite places were ones we had never even heard of before we were already there and someone mentioned it to us!

This is so lovely! I am from New Zealand and often take the scenery for granted, it is beautiful. Cathedral Cove is my absolute favourite, and it's where part of Narnia is filmed! And by the way, I'm pretty sure that siren is used because there has been an accident nearby, and they're asking for medical professionals in the area to come over and help.

I had the good fortune to have married a Kiwi while living in the US and now we live here. So many Americans go to New Zealand as part of a trip to Australia and wish they had just gone to NZ. Haha that siren in auckland is for the volunteer firefighters being alerted to get to the station, there's some kids at my school who volunteer and they carry around beepers that go off before the siren does. Love the video ❤️❤️ New Zealand is definitely a paradise 🌈

Avoid capital cities. And choose some countries beforehand, every country is completely different
