This is one of my favorites locations that you guys have investigated/visited. Growing up, my go to costume for every Halloween was Dracula. Me and my three brothers use to be into all kinds of toy models, cars dinosaurs, and famous horror film characters. My oldest brother was into Frankenstein's Monster, then my older brother liked the Wolfman, then my younger liked the Mummy. I had a really nice Bela Lugosi Dracula, that got trashed when some neighborhood kid was jumping over our fence, and landed on my model as I was playing with it outside. One of those, "remember it, like it was yesterday" moments. I got excited when you were at Zak Bagons Museum, and there was an exhibit about Bela Lugosi. But this is the "Creme de' la creme", so to speak. Love revisiting this video, every now and again. The questionable tour guide/vampire, just put the cherry on top. If you want to see a cool, modern movie on the subject, I'd recommend, Dracula-Untold. 💪🏼🥺👍🏼 🏰🧛🎞️🎥🎬🎭🎫

@@rcduo4935 But the problem with Twilight’s “vampires” is not just the fact that they lack fangs, but that they don’t die by sunlight and instead sparkle. One of the only unifying bits in vampire lore is that sunlight is dangerous to vampires, but that’s there for a reason. Aside of the reason for making vampires pure creatures of darkness, a weakness of sunlight balances their strengths. For example, in Interview With The Vampire, sunlight turns them into ashes. In Buffy, they catch fire and burn to death. But here in Twilight, they just appear as if they’re covered in glitter. Stephanie Meyer tried to make a universe in which vampires could coexist with humans but could still be seen as “misunderstood” and “pretty”, ignoring that Anne Rice(RIP) and others had already beaten her to it. It doesn’t strengthen them and it doesn’t drain their powers. Sparkling doesn’t really do anything for these “vampires”. It just makes them stand out. The whole idea is worse than inconsequential. Having them sparkle in the sun also takes away any natural threats. They might have to face. In fact, aside from other vampires, there are almost no way that any “vampire” can die in the Twilight series. Vampires in most stories are super powerful creatures that could easily overpower and kill any human in cold blood, so in order to make a story more entertaining and plausible, you have to counter the strengths and powers vampires are given. Twilight does not do this. If vampires don’t face any threat or aren’t really threatened at all, then they become the most boring of all monsters. In Twilight, the only way to kill a “vampire” is rip them to pieces and burn them. A wooden stake won’t do it, decapitation won’t do it, starvation won’t do it, and sunlight won’t do it. If you put an overpowered character in a world without any challenges, then all you’ve done is set the pedestal so high that nothing will threaten that character. In other words, no challenges means no conflict, and no conflict means no story. Stephanie Meyer just got lazy, randomly thought the sparkling idea through, then panicked when she realized that she had to explain things in her story, and just let out an ugly mangled mess. Lacking death by sunlight takes away the biggest natural reason to avoid being a vampire. Overall, Stephanie Meyer clearly did not do any research on actual vampire lore.

It doesn’t strengthen them and it doesn’t drain their powers. Sparkling doesn’t really do anything for these “vampires”. It just makes them stand out. The whole idea is worse than inconsequential. Having them sparkle in the sun also takes away any natural threats. They might have to face. In fact, aside from other vampires, there are almost no way that any “vampire” can die in the Twilight series. Vampires in most stories are super powerful creatures that could easily overpower and kill any human in cold blood, so in order to make a story more entertaining and plausible, you have to counter the strengths and powers vampires are given. Twilight does not do this. If vampires don’t face any threat or aren’t really threatened at all, then they become the most boring of all monsters. In Twilight, the only way to kill a “vampire” is rip them to pieces and burn them. A wooden stake won’t do it, decapitation won’t do it, starvation won’t do it, and sunlight won’t do it. If you put an overpowered character in a world without any challenges, then all you’ve done is set the pedestal so high that nothing will threaten that character. In other words, no challenges means no conflict, and no conflict means no story. Stephanie Meyer just got lazy, randomly thought the sparkling idea through, then panicked when she realized that she had to explain things in her story, and just let out an ugly mangled mess. Lacking death by sunlight takes away the biggest natural reason to avoid being a vampire. Overall, Stephanie Meyer clearly did not do any research on actual vampire lore.
