Very nice haul, and congrats on the Coy Hill. I haven't been able to locate the 2024 release, but did manage to score my unicorn... 13th Colony Double Oaked. Occasionally, persistence does pay off

Hey, that's me! Sag9 is such a great bottle, and 47 bux is a no-brainer. I think you guys will really dig it. As for Hancock's, you paid about what it should be. I prefer it to Blanton's, not because I'm a Blanton's hater, it's just got a more prototypical Buffalo Trace profile and Blanton's often gives me a bitter mildew note on the back palate. Hancock's is thin and sweet, pretty unremarkable, but easily crushable. Never gone wrong with a Cypress pick. Sam has a great palate.

I got Grand Reserve this year at TW... the 10X points promo in L.A. helped. I got a Rockhill Farms and 2-Elmer T's last week from a TW drop. I also got an OF Birthday Bourbon from Bevmo. Its been a good month!

I was wondering why my account suddenly showed me at Grand Reserve - thanks Dodgers! I normally get GR later in the year when I’m stocking up on champagne. The drops they do for GR folks a couple of times a year where you can line up prior to opening hours are fun. I’ve picked up some very nice bottles and met some great folks. The quarterly lottery type online events haven’t been good for me (yet). I did get a Weller 12 once. Several times a year I will get an email saying I can drop by and purchase a particular bottle. Once a Michters 10year bourbon, once a Weller Full Proof and recently an Elmer T Lee. That’s not so bad.

State controlled liquor websites usually let you search for bottles and see the MSRP. Michigan, Ohio, and Oregon are our go tos. Happy hunting! 🥃

the virginia abc site is how i do it. they dont mark up bourbon as price is state controlled.

Did you pick up any bourbon at the total wine grand release day? I was able to pick up Weller CYPB, Rock Hill Farms, Elmer T Lee, Russel’s 15, Michter’s 10 Bourbon, Michter’s Toasted, EH Taylor Straight Rye, and Peerless Rum Finish.

not sure of the credibility, but i read that the coy hill only released 5k cases aka 30k bottles worldwide, which means that's not really as easy to find as you made it out to sound. i found 2 last weekend, in Virginia. ours are 1 per customer, and my wife and i each got one. and i had a friend get a third for us/me before they sold out (which was like 35min after they put it on the shelf). so i have one and a backup, and a third i'll use for trade, hopefully to pickup a Russell's single rick cn-b, maybe for another RR15. mine came in at 131 proof. so far as allocations i got this year, i picked up RR13 (Batch 3), a stagg 23c, RR15, Coy Hill. WT 70th, john j bowman, bookers 2024-03, early times BiB, Willett 10yr purple top, weller SR, Bardstown disco 12, and jack 10......it was a really good year for me haha.

@@TheWhiskeyBreak gotta be something with your area. in my area (northern va/dc/md/wv), i can find most of the btac offerings WAY more easily than i can coy hill. though, they are typically overpriced lol. dc has btac in quite a few stores, but i have never seen a coy hill in person till last weekend, when i bought some. btac, i have found everything but the ER17 offering, the saz18 only once, GTS, WLW, and THH, i can go get today if i wanted to. they are typically marked over secondary, but i know a few of the stores will go to secondary with a quick convo. not that i'm gonna pay those prices, just i can find those way more than i can coy hill. which is wild to me
