Thailand! Super cool plan. I spent a month there 30 years ago and loved it. Just know ahead of time, sometimes as a woman, to go into temples you have to have long pants or skirt. Enjoy your adventures. The food there is so good and the people are so kind. You'll love it! So excited for you.

Thailand is beautiful. You will love it! I believe it is good for people to go to other countries and see how other people live. We have traveled all over the world. It has made us understand different cultures, governments, and the way people do life . Not everyone is so consumed with stuff, working constantly, or stressed out like in America.

Yep, it took 6 months to my well drilled last year. My suggestion for investments is precious metals, gold and silver, crypto ( BTC, ETH, XRP), these assets will hold or increase in value compared to inflation over time. Additionally, real estate is a hard asset but more subject to price fluctuations, as I am sure you are aware. The wealthy own real estate and a lot of it. Think farmland, hunting land, rental properties. All passive income producing. Have fun abroad. I am planning to travel abroad this coming year also. Finishing my house first though. Started in June 2023. Building it by myself, no mortgage. Planning to get a CO next month, but will still have trim and painting to complete.

@ I was very lucky to go to an American college there for two years. The most amazing part was most of my friend spoke 7 languages at smash so when we traveled it was always easier to have them to be able to communicate. No one would speak English to me until I learned Italian. The locals were great but needed me to know their language even though they could speak English. So excited for you!!

Hi Katie - you'll love it. SE Asia is amazing. Can I put Laos on your radar, specifically Luang Prahbang. Beautiful. There is a travel company called Intrepid. They are backpacking tours. Weve done a few trips with them when younger and we really trudt there route planning. They might be useful to you as well. They tend to focus on the experience, not showy just authentic. We are off to Borneo this summer and using one of their itineraries to help understand route, distance and practicalities. Best of luck with the planning. We did a 17hr flight with my 20month old to NZ on our knees... stickers were a lifeline and a lot of snacks.
@raisingwildflowers18 сағат бұрын
Thanks for all the suggestions! I will look up Intrepid. Borneo is definitely on our list and I will do more research on Laos! 😁

Your vacation plans sound great. I'm exnavy and have been around the world 1 1/2 times, but i haven't been to Thailand. Don't listen to the armchair, nay sayers who haven't been anywhere or done anything. If you built a church, half of the people would tell you that you're building it wrong, and the other half would tell you that you're building it for the wrong religion. You guys are doing just fine. I enjoy watching your videos and seeing what you're doing. As I occasionally say, go go go. Lol 😆

Oh wow how cool, we have done so many of your bucket list items, south east Asia is wonderful for cheap travel. Have you looked at hiking in the Himalayas? We did that on our own and it was very cheap and the views were just amazing. India is also an amazing country to visit, hard travelling but so worth it. I am so excited to travel along with you guys :)
@raisingwildflowers18 сағат бұрын
We have considered both of those! The heavy hiking might need to wait until our 2 year old can hike longer distances because carrying is exhausting at this point 😆 India on this trip is a definite maybe! It seems overwhelming but I think I just need to do a bit more research on the right places for us. Local Indian food is a huge motivating factor lol.

I knew someone who went on an African Safari about 15 years ago. She said if someone wanted to do that it would be better to do it as soon as possible because they would have more animals to see. This may be something you want to research and decide how soon you want to do it.
@raisingwildflowersКүн бұрын
I think that is great advice. Seeing animals is one of our focuses on this trip. Because, sadly, many may not be here in the future 😞

I’m also desperately trying to save, so buying a membership isn’t an option for now. I would be interested to know if you have a membership to anyone else, and how many do other people have - I used to have 12 (about £70 a month) but I have had to really cut back because I needed to spend a lot on repairs. I’ve made some good money this past month from making kits, and selling them to people so they could give them as presents - nice food/snacks and craft supplies sold best, the last things to go were bath stuff/cosmetics, I don’t think I would do them next year, but the others definitely. Best for profit were an indoor s’mores kit, containing a tin of chafing fuel, matches, marshmallows, chocolate biscuits and wooden skewers in a nice box, cost £3 and sold for £10!
