Hey guys. Im going to comment this one time and probably not again because i have opinions. Some people do not agree with them. Whatever, I am from north Idaho. Sandpoint area, colburn culver, Rapid lightning area. Been there done that. 9 to 11 cords of wood every year. Had a huge house with 3 stoves. If your willing to let these people come into your life, be damn sure they have your back. If SHTF , they now know what you got. Can you trust them? Something to think about. Otherwise Im subscribed and watching. Good luck.

LOVE this comment!! Lots of wisdom here, especially what’s in between the lines.

My dad and uncles would castrate pigs. Then we would freeze them until we had enough for a mountain oyster feed. I remember having my city cousins come out, then I would how they liked them. Then some of them lost their cookies 🤣. They are delicious, but very rich and you don't hear about mountain oyster feeds much anymore. I think it is awesome what your family is doing.

Ha! So funny. We didn’t eat them (they were really small) ….but maybe we just need to start saving them up! Haha

It would be far easier to hall and store logs then cut them at your wood shed. Get a good pile of logs so that you will always have a supply of wood. It is also a good way to dry green fresh cut trees. A little advice from an old farm boy.

Great episode. I especially loved the Robert Frost reference. Keep up the great work!
