One of my favorites. I love Hulk's language development over the films, how Hulk could only grunt in in "The Incredible Hulk" (except for two lines, "Leave me alone" and "Hulk Smash"), then had a sentence here or there in the Avengers films... now here he's been in Hulk form so long that he can converse. They did a good job with that progression. Fun facts... Valkyrie (capital "V") is called "Scrapper 142" here because the comic version first appeared in the comic Incredible Hulk issue 142. In the comics, Valkyrie looks just like a traditional blonde-haired, blue eyed, braided Norse woman, just like the blonde valkyrie that saved THIS Valkyrie in her Loki-induced memory, and was a very popular character in 1970s and 1980s Marvel comics. But Tessa Thompson's interpretation was so well received that Marvel created another valkyrie (lowercase "v") named Runa for the comics that looks like Tessa Thompson.
@ToeTag19682 ай бұрын
"He's a friend from work!" IIRC, a boy from the Make-A-Wish foundation (or something similar) was on set. Thor was supposed to say "where have you been?" but the boy suggested to Chris that he say the "he's a friend from work" line. I think it was the right choice. Very funny.

Stef's MCU journey has been a delight. Matt Damon's and Sam Neill's cameos were great. Thor: Love and Thunder. Just wait for the MCU shows after Infinity War and Endgame. I suggest Ghost Rider (2007) and The Punisher (2004). She could be bold and watch Matt Salinger's version of Captain America as well as the late 70's version (believe there are two films). All the pre-MCU films would be cool including the ultraviolent silly Dolph Lundgren version of The Punisher including Nick Fury: Agent Of S.H.I.E.L.D. LOL. Would be interesting if she saw the animated Marvel films too as well as the DC ones (quite a lot). Good luck and have fun patrons.

I'm Norse mythology The Valkyrie collect the fallen warriors and take them to Valhalla. What they battle forever. The dead renewed to fight again. Those who die without a sword in their hands are doomed to be sliced every day forever. Which is why it's significant when in The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring, that Strider puts Boromir's sword back into his hands at his death. The more you know. The more you get out of movies.

Worthiness of Mjolnir within the MCU actually originates in the first movie. When Odin casts out Thor and strips him of his power he then also places the enchantment onto Mjolnir. Hela did wield the hammer before Thor and before the enchantment. However, in the scene where she breaks it she doesn't actually wield it or lift it; she's powerful enough to simply stop it in place and destroy the material it was made from - she is not worthy. So essentially you were right when you asked if she destroyed it cause she's just powerful enough. But back to worthiness of the hammer in the MCU can be boiled down to a set of traits one must posses but it honestly gets a lot more complicated in the comics.
@tonylebon32753 ай бұрын
you mix 2 enchantments... "worthy and origin"... all the gods and goddesses of thunder can brandish mjolnir (odin, the grandfather, thor (except when odin makes him mortal), hela (she is odin's daughter in the MCU, so "goddess of thunder"... in the comics, she is "presumed" to be the daughter of loki, so "goddess of death")... for the "worthy" enchantment, it is for all people who are not part of the thunder family.
@imdivorcedlol3 ай бұрын
@@tonylebon3275 I did not confuse anything. In the MCU the "origin" of Mjolnir is irrelevant - it was simply a weapon that was made with others being able to wield it, just like Stormbreaker can be wielded by others. Mjolnir within the MCU had no enchantment before Thor 1, therefore, Hela was able to wield it. Odin placed the worthy enchantment on it to essentially force Thor to mature - and within the "worthy" requirement he implicated different qualities which he expected the wielder of Mjolnir to have, be he Thor or someone else. Mjolnir is not unbreakable and Hela capitalized on that fact; she also did not lift the hammer she simply blocked it - just as in theory, an unbreakable wall would be able to stop Mjolnir but that does not make the wall worthy (I understand that an inanimate object cannot be worthy but this is a hypothetical to imitate my point). I was not talking about the comics except for a small remark because they are irrelevant within the MCU but context about a certain topic can still be interesting. You're wrong.

When Korg talks about his brother and the rebellion. That was the battle in the beginning of Dark World. The rock guy that got the uppercut. I don't notice many people putting that together. And, just to add to the actual lore. Not the MCU. Hela and Fenrir are two of Loki's children. Hela is, also, the only one that will openly defy Odin's wishes. When Odin and Frigg's other son, Baldr, died from the mistletoe. Odin told Hela to release him so he could live again. She stood on business and kept him. Hela, if more of the look was real. Would look more like Two Face. Half decayed face, half beauty. Though, Cate is a beautiful woman. So, why mess up that face?
