Hey guys. Good to see you are still out and about. As the summer is winding down we are itching to get back on the road. We finished several mods on the Brinkley and will be heading to the state of Washington in early September. Sorry about all the extra expenses this past month. Hope August treats you better. Travel safe and maybe catch you on down the line sometime. Burlington Bill busking on the road and on you-tube.

Thats awesome, where are you headed in Washington? I have family in Bellingham and in Port Angeles. PS if you ever visit Port Angeles, be sure to stop by the community pool it is named in honor of by grandfather. It was previously called the William Shore Memorial Pool, but now is the Shore Aquatic Center. 8) Safe travels and see you at Imperial later this year.

@@thewanderingshores Olympic Nat. Park I think. We were there before I retired but felt rushed and want to take our time and do it right. Pretty cool about your Grandfather! Hope you can hear some of our music this winter. Travel safe!

@@thewanderingshores I am not sure how y’all afford those kinds of numbers. Hopefully your norm is significantly smaller.
@thewanderingshores2 ай бұрын
@@blairM363 you are very correct, if the last two months were the norm we would be in trouble. As you can see we keep a detailed account of our expenses and have for decades now. When we look back on the months since we hit the road it typically comes out to about 2300-2600 per month. While the last two months have been a hard pill to swallow we were lucky enough to do some gate guarding down in Texas back in March and April so we were able to save most of that money for many of the big items from May and June (new tires, tuneup on the truck etc.). We are very hopeful the August budget will be much more realistic to how things usually are. Thanks-- Kyle

The cheat sheet is 🎵Blowin in the wind 🎶 Just like the answer. 😄In your medical expense do you include your cost of health insurance? Thanks again for doing this break down. It is really helpful! - Michelle
@thewanderingshores2 ай бұрын
Thank you guys... 8) So thanks for asking about the medical, the answer is yes and no. Since we don't have any health coverage from our jobs we go through healthcare.gov. and due to our limited income from partime jobs we are eligiable for some stipen through the system which brings our monthly health insurance to basically $25 per month on average with a larger deductiable.
@airstreamer2 ай бұрын
@@thewanderingshores Thank you for this clarification. So basically, because of your high deductible, a lot comes out of your pocket until that is reached?
@thewanderingshores2 ай бұрын
@@airstreamer yes correct, luckily we are fairly healthy so don't use medical coverage much, not too mention it only covers if we are in Ohio.

glad your truck is done and wishing you both the best on that one. just a q tho, why didn't you take it back to the people/place who did it originally? shouldn't that have been under warranty? much ✌️❤️😁😎, Robin
@thewanderingshores2 ай бұрын
Great question Robin, so here's our thoughts on the whole truck issue. We originally had it repaired at the dealership. They replaced the rear shocks but clearly that was not. What was the only issue. I'm pretty sure we had a bad compressor and or bad air shocks in the front. That would have required us to pay to have those replaced. And honestly the total for those things was about what it would have been to just take them completely out and put in regular suspension like we did at that other company. Now we also get a piece of mind that we don't always have to worry everyday. We walk outside that the air suspension has collapsed again. There's actually a class action lawsuit trying to get some momentum against Chrysler for these air suspension issues. Hoping it goes through and we might actually get some of our money back on the repairs and the swap
@thecoddiwomplers132 ай бұрын
oh wow, i sure do hope that will be the case for you guys to get some of that expense back. my heart just breaks for you guys to have to go through that. it is just not right that places like that do that and think they can get away with it. i just had my front struts replaced and my rear shocks upgraded for better towing and that cost me roughly $1300.00 things are not cheap anymore but at least my auto guys are great. if something is not wrong with my truck they will let me know and thats an expense i glad to not have. they always do a full look around for me before i head out on long trips so i have peace of mind out there. much ✌️❤️🙏🏼😁
