Fab video Michael, a really detailed review and showcase of your lovely new awning. It looks very homely indeed! Thanks for the mention, very kind of you. I really loved working with LED strip and fancy doing some other projects with it. However, I really must fix more pressing issues first! I look forward to some more vids :) Take Care. Andy

Great vid . some nice photos off what the wind can do to your awning. Happened to me in Glen Nevis 4 years ago.

scammo37 Thank you. It was sad seeing those awnings. I felt for the owners. A few bent poles there, but I think most managed to put them right when the storm passed. Need to be careful in those winds. Yes, a bet Glen Nevis can get a bit windy for awnings. Thanks again. Much appreciated 👍

Good review. We have a kampa awning too, can't remember the model but it's a little bigger and has 3 windows on the long side. We love it and yes, especially with the carpet down it's a bit of luxury! We've never used the curtains so nice to see how they look when installed, especially at night. We sometimes use a little fan heater in the evenings (yes, we're in Scotland too!). It takes the chill off the air and means you can sit in it for longer in the evenings :)

Hi Janice. Thank you. Yes, we have a wee oil heater that we sometimes use in the awning. It was hiding in the 'van when I made the video. I'm surprised I didn't film that too. I seemed to have filmed everything else lol. I was a bit worried I filmed too much. The original footage was over 40 mins, but thankfully I cut it down to just over 20 mins. Phew! Thanks again. Michael

Hi Michael. Lovely to see you have joined us on the seasonal pitch adventure. We'll be able to swap notes. March cant come quick enough for us. We are really missing the caravan! Cookie wants to know where T-Dog was?

Home from Home with Lin & Rich Eh up, Lin & Rich. Yes, delighted to move onto a seasonal pitch. It suits us, certainly for now at least. We’re lucky as we can use our pitch all year, so we don’t need to go without visiting the van during winter. Poor T-dog didn’t travel on the train with me. I had 3 train changes to make during rush hour at Glasgow & Edinburgh and I thought it best to leave him to travel with my wife in the car. He wasn’t happy being left 😂. I missed him. Spent all day without him. Look forward to your next video. Spring will come round soon enough & you’ll both be enjoying your seasonal pitch again.

Good detailed vid. I’m intrigued about your towing issues that led to your decision to go seasonal.
@t1outabout2757 жыл бұрын
Italianjob 01 Thank you. Oh, we had issue, after issue, after issue. Majority were electrical - all unrelated. First ‘van, then tow car, then tow bar electrics. We also had a few other issues. 2 holidays cancelled. Children and my mum in the car ready to go & no electrics. All fixed, and then our leisure battery fried. Stunk out the ‘van. EHU didn’t work with no battery connected. New battery, and decided - let’s go for a seasonal for a while. Feel more relaxed now.

Well what a great useful video. We are looking at the same awning so this has been a valuable insight. Could you put up the sabre light unit details of the Mapling box please. Thanks again Phil and Juliet. PS loving the pictures your posting on Twitter.

lost weekends caravan Thank you.We love this awning. Not too big or too small. Just right for us. I relied on the advice of the shop assistance in Maplin about the power adapter, but I’m sure I still have the box at the ‘van. Next time I’m at the ‘van I’ll take a photo and post it on Twitter for you 👍

Thanks for this video and for stating the obvious to me! We have our coat rail against the caravan, which is far too high for me. Will move it to the side next time we go away I will be able to get my coat easily now!! 😂😂

Carol Handrahan Glad it helped, Carol. Sometimes it’s not until we see something that we realise we can do them same. Thank you 👍

Very true - maybe you have a trick for deflating the annex?? Thanks
@t1outabout2756 жыл бұрын
Carol Handrahan Gosh, we had such a carry on trying to work out how to deflate the annexe. It doesn’t deflate like the main awning (i.e. with the deflation valve taps). Instead you need to deflate by unscrewing the inflation valve (i.e. the whole plastic valve rotates & unscrews). We had to phone Kampa to work that out 😂 The things that happen when caravanning 😂 We’re a bit wiser now, just.

great loved the limpets would I get them not after your review just bought ace 400
@t1outabout2756 жыл бұрын
zxrrsteve1 Great. Thanks for the comment. I would buy the limpets again. They can be frustrating little bits of plastic, & do snap, but until I find a better method of sticking the awning to the van they’ll do. Thanks again.
