Dan the lead singer runs a shop in Bournemouth, he didn’t attend the reunion, he hated the attention that fame brought and just wanted a normal life, he said he had many letters off of mums saying he would be perfect for their daughter to marry, when he was old enough, fans showing up at his house back in the day, he had enough and stopped singing by the time he was sixteen, he said he’d love the money but not the fame. He is happier now than he ever was in our kid.

@@susanleatherbarrow2495 Ahhh Susan, now your talking.A lot of people have said The Beatles put Liverpool on the map, not strictly true, it was Billy Fury..One of the pioneers, along with Cliff and Marty Wyld..What a performer he was..I met Billy in Seaton, Devon in 1982 in a cafe with his manager. He was on his way to Axminster looking at vintage cars..What a lovely humble guy he was, I had a good half hour with him talking about the early days.Sadly in 83 he died, so young 42..He was buried at Mill Hill in London, but I believe there is a statue of him in Liverpool, Rightly so. The word Legend is used to easy today, but Billy was a Legend. His music still sounds good today.

This reached No2 on the UK Singles chart back in 1976. The boys manager destroyed their career by working them to the maximum hours allowed under child labour laws, booking them into venues across the UK leaving no time available for important TV spots to promote their records. This was their one and only hit. Nothing else came close to charting.

Not completely correct, infact the education authorities refused them permission to take part in performances, they were scheduled to be on blue Peter, but was cancelled last minute, because Liverpool Council refused to five a licience for them to take part.. they pretty much went their own ways, forming different bands.

I have discovered the Kids just 3yrs ago, as I was scrolling on my comp. to listen my 70's best. Sadly, & by chance , I heard from one of the boys, recently, that Terry Baccino passed away ! @@stuartwhatley6072 Thanks Stuart for your reply and i appreciate so much. Yes indeed, great memories of our childhood, and it was a real childhood, always, as i see it with my lens, contrary to what today's teens have -- computers, mobiles, electronic games and a hell of " brain frustrating music " making them uneasy and irrational in any way. For example, we were so respectable for older persons, and had much more kindness in our hearts. Of course, we were naughty some time or another, but it was a matter of being still not mature, and we did accept a fault, when the older shouted at us for being naughty. A month before, the kids released the song and performed, this memorable show, was a hit for the well known MUSIC by John Miles. I used to follow and listen so carefully for the British top 20 every Saturday afternoon, and i did better learn the songs position for each of them, rather than what the teachers thought to me at school !! It is a pity that our kids had to separate and come to a halt. Hope they are fine and still alive. Thanks.
