Hey guys, thanks for tuning in this week! Just a side note, when I reference getting out of my "Christian bubble," I don't mean I'm doubting my faith or reconsidering our family's religion (yes we are Christians...my kids would call us "casual Christians" 😬), I just mean I never had much experience or knowledge of other religions. I grew up in the Bible belt for goodness sakes! Love to all! Renee 💕

Ask yourself where your god came from and why it's so hesitant to tell you when asked directly. Some dude doesn't go floating through infinity and just decide to make Earth, mess up, get mad at it, destroy it, then abandon it. It's allll lies.

You do know what happens to the so-called lukewarm Christians. 😢 Revelation 3:14-22 ESV “And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation. “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. ...

It's no coincidence that most muslims are born in Muslim countries and most Jews are born in Isreal and most christians are born in Christian countries and buddhists are born in Buddhist countries etc.etc. You believe what your parents and elders told you to believe because that's where we get our primary guidance in life. As god is not self evident, and you only learn of him through others...and all these 'others' have different ideas about who or what or why he is....I choose not to believe any of them as their contradictions to each others faiths make all of them unreliable. Basically...why should I trust John over Abdul over Moishe over Dharma? None of them have any more proof of their claims than any other.

I said, I'm going with you!!! He told me they have great medical care in other countries and for a low cost of $200 a month they would even cover Cancer treatments or whatever you came down with.... Far cheaper than our US Insurance $550 a month (My Fam) He told me how we are lied to about other Countries medical care.... you guys have showed us, they do!!!!

I have traveled extensively with the military, as a tourist and an adventurer. The biggest takeaway I ever had was 97% of people were kind, helpful and as curious about me as I was about them but that 3% will take advantage of the situation. That being said even if you cannot understand each other, I kept a small note pad to draw pictures of what I was conveying and they could draw back. Worked great for directions, food, bathrooms, water, gas, lodging.

I use to sail a lot in Istanbul. Here comes couple of tips if u guys are planning to go there. There is an island called Sivriada which has an unused port. Nobody lives on this island and its a perfect place to spend a night or two. Be aware of rocks on the port side at the entry of the port. The restaurant called Yasemin in Burgaz Island serves food and drinks to your boat and they have good food and fresh fish. At night you should definitely sail under the Bosporus bridge and enjoy 2 continents at the same time. Behind the Heybeli island there is a safe bay which is a great place to anchor and chill. In Suadiye there is a small boat house called Özeller Marina. They can help you with anything if you need something fixed and it will be much cheaper compared to a regular marina. Take care guys

As a kid, I was lucky enough to travel with my Grandparents all over the U.S. and Canada. I learned that people are pretty much the same all over. As an adult I have been able to travel to 45 countries, including Iraq and Afghanistan during war times. I learned that the people everywhere, just want to be left alone to make a living, provide a better live for their children, and to live in peace. They often do this despite their governments rule. I was raised Catholic, though I rarely attend church due to the politics of the church. I don't need an intermediary to talk to God. I'm pleased that you came to the same conclusions about people that I discovered. I believe the travel experience allows us to experience other cultures first hand, better understand each other.

I'm no teen but I'd kill or die to live a month on Zatara. My #1 past time is cruising and being on the sea is a true love for me. I spent most of my time as a teen shark fishing off the coast of Florida. I sure miss those days. I know nothing about sailing but I'd love to learn and even take my time on a watch. I'm 60 now and retired so I have nothing but time.

Hey Keith, What you said about about gov and media is spot on! You as a world traveler and a normal(subjective term, lol) person are exactly the one the general public will understand. Only when WE THE PEOPLE, see that gov and media are the cause of the worlds sorrows, can we address and correct our world. I'm 59 and have traveled from Europe to Asia and I have seen exactly the same. People in general are kind and generous. They love one another and could care less about gov. I think there is an awakening happening and people like you and your family are the unsuspecting teachers that most will relate and listen to. On a side note, my wife and I have been watching you and yours since you started filming your journey. I have always wanted to sail and I love travel. By watching ya'll , it has opened up our eyes to this lifestyle and we are looking to move onto a boat early next year. We have moved to Florida to get into position for this move. And what's even worse is knowing that in America, Media AND Government is dictated to by the pursuit of money. The desire for profit rules everything. Business is King! Many people don't realize that all laws are crafted ONLY after Industry & Big Business has their say on how those laws will impact their bottom line. Everybody wants our last dime! Media is not impartial but pushing an agenda that protects the interests of Corporate entities holding the money. Therefore, we can't trust our government or our Media, as truth & our best interests are NOT respected as important: the effect on a corporation's Stocks & profit line is what is important. Therefore we must always be wary, be suspicious of those in government always working to increase the profits for corporate partners, ie Business. Big Business always defeats the little man, you & I.

Keith one of my 02:00 jobs at sea & port was to write down the news & stock data. I could usually get 3 or 4 English speaking channels. It always amazed me not only what stories were highlighted, but what stories different sources left out of the news. Well that was in the 70's before the net, but we did have weather FAX, so high tech for the times. Hand written news reports might be a good exercise for the kids.

I'm glad you mentioned English being the world's most popular langue because people in America think that English is our official langue but it's not. English was adapted to conduct trade with other peoples from other countries and nations. America is so diverse in ethnicity, people and culture that we do not have an official language. Years ago Florida tried to force people to speak English in their airports and was legally stopped because it is not an official language.

Wonderful observations. Travel is the best educator if you “sponge” in what you see, hear and experience. Our observations are much like yours. The actual people “on the ground” if you will, are what the world is all about, not what we are told by the media and government. And the media and government spokespeople are almost always at odds with what “the people” are all about. I videoed the part where the two of you were expressing what you have learned and will send it to our family and friends, as well as sharing this entire episode. Life is made of a series of random events, regardless of how well we think we plan. I liked Keith’s comment on media and governments. Opening the door for my two cents. There is indeed a global war underway. It’s between the globalist one world government with an elite ruling class and nationalists wanting a local government of and by its people. It’s too bad. It all comes down to greed, $$$ and drunkenness of power a person believes they have. The Zatara family is a living example of an independent life so many progressives despise. I say continue to be free and happy. Safe sailing and looking forward to your canal passage and arrival in Turkey!

We have been pleasantly surprised in our travels and videos like yours to find things and cultures are not like what we are told. God’s children are mostly the same world over. Respectful and trying to get by in life.

I was stationed in southern Turkey in Adana. Been to Mersin many times..not sure where you plan on docking in Turkey. GREAT country. Food is sooo good. People are very nice. One warning. If their military security point to you and point you to go somewhere..do not hesitate or try to reason whatsoever. Do exactly as you are told. If they are telling you to do it-it's with good reason. Their phyllo desserts are GLORIOUS. Istanbul of course is very modern with so much to see and do. Happy sailing!

You are correct Keith. I’ve traveled the planet for a living for 26 years. All the people I meet are great. Heck I used to fly over Iran and the air traffic controllers were so nice. It’s the governments that ruin everything.

9:45! 10:50! Nailed it Keith!! I knew I liked you! A year ago I sold everything in Canada and moved myself and 2 my teens to Mexico. Always an adventure! My daughter was bummed as she just missed the deadline to send you a video. Next time maybe! Thanks for the fun!

It seems you aren't confident in showing us grocery runs and what you do daily. It interests me the way places around the world are different and "normal" for other countries and cultures. So thank you for sharing! I enjoy the weekly videos.

Your time in the Middle East really seemed like a blast! It was certainly very fun to watch, although the med is always fun. Good luck over there on the passage. One question, you guys are just getting the close to land starlink or are you getting the marine one? I heard the marine one is crazy expensive. Also, I’m looking forward to hearing about what happened with the Egypt thing but that is for another time.

We are getting the RV version of Starlink; Keith just ordered it to arrive when we get to Greece in about a month! And yes, we definitely ARE going to address the Egypt issues. Very soon in fact...

There is a Dutch journalist. Joris Luyendijk, and he wrote a book "People Like Us: Misrepresenting the Middle East". It's about his time in the Middle East. The UN arranged meet&greets for these journalist and the local people. They arrive in a street in villige XYZ. The streets are empty, until the UN horns. In seconds the street gets full with locals shouting, burning US flags and making noise. After 10 minutes, enough footage is shot and stories written, the street is empty again and live goes on. The next day on TV and in the Newspapers the footage and pictures are shown as if that world is in fire. It was. For 10 minutes. Joris wrote about it, we read it, replied with OMG and continued our daily routine.

If you're looking for a book to read, I highly recommend Jared Kushner's tome. It's a fascinated read, particularly the chapters on what became The Abraham Accords. And its revealing and telling about Trump and how he operated versus how he was/is portrayed, regardless of your politics. And this totally speaks to what Keith was saying. Yet we're a couple of weeks behind and somehow you landed in Cyprus directly ? Looking forward to next week!

“We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights. I truly can't wait. I hate him passionately Thats the last four years. We're all pretending we've got a lot to show for it, because admitting what a disaster it's been is too tough to digest. But come on. There isn't really an upside to Trump.” -Tucker Carlson
