Wouldn’t the life swap still worked as it’s 2 players and not 2 target players

Why didnt morgan just play necropotence then play the spell mastery to fetch the black lifeswap card while k’rrik was still out. He could’ve knocked himself down to 1 life swapped life with preston, making his lp 45, and add x amount of cards from necropotence and keep them thanks to folio. Then the next turn he coukd’ve killed the table easily
