Hey Cory and Rochelle, Thank you for sharing a piece of your life in the Philippines! Watching your videos is very inspirational for guys in the US! Especially guys that have been through a bad experience like myself. I’m very happy for both of you! Cory, you are very blessed to have such a loving and beautiful wife to build a paradise home with. Your projects are so well thought out and I can see that your vision for your life has been an amazing journey! I look forward to seeing more of your story unfold in the future and I wish you both many blessings.

Hi Cory, Rochelle. Love you guys. Pro-tip: you may want to invest in a bag of diatomaceous earth & sprinkle a couple spoonfulls into your chicken cages. It'll keep mites & parasites off the birds & 1 bag lasts a lifetime
@ItsMe_Philippines16 күн бұрын
Thanks for the info I’ll research that now
@volusinus15 күн бұрын
Diatomaceous earth is the best, we used it when our neighbors had a puppy mill 😕 and had a tick issue the was spreading over the fence to our house. We created a barrier line with it and it stopped all of the issues.

As an avid popcorn maker…my advice is to use unrefined coconut oil (butter flavored is often used at movie theaters) or if you want a similar and natural alternative then ghee is good. Add popcorn to a paper bag then toppings and shake. 👍 If you really want movie theater flavor then you need Flavacol seasoning salt. If you want to keep it natural then add about 1-3 tablespoons of oil to the machine (start with 2) and about 1/2 teaspoon of salt (or flavacol) per cup of kernels. Add the salt while popping. You probably will want to add more though- depends on toppings.

Hey Guys. Great Video. You both crack us up. Cory, I originally saw your channel almost 2 years ago on Legion of Men (Tribe of Men back then) and it was the story you told about the cold drink on the hot day I think it was. I started by binge watching your house build videos, as we are looking to build in Bohol. It's been a pleasure to watch your journey there and helping me learn some things along the way. Congratulations to you both on everything you have accomplished together.

wow.. thats a cheap price u paid for those hollow blocks.. Would cost 8x as much here in the US... Your house looks amazing for a house out in the province.. Your hard work really pays off and it shows... VERY few houses in the province looks as good as yours..(inside and out)...And lastly , The grout needs to be changed in the pool is a Pain. In the future, buy an algeaside so you dont have to brush the sides of pool, so much. It will stop any kind of algea from growing as long as u run the pump 8-10 hours a day..And its still safe to swim in the water 30 min after the algeaside gets poured in..Does Rachel want to hire two 18 year old filipina's to help her, with the chores and the housework?.. Hi Cory. Just curious…. If you were to want to, would you be able to buy a property right next to yours? You are not in a really busy subdivision…. And being in the province, would there be the possibility of purchasing a hectare or more? And lastly, please what is the current price per sqm there please? Thanks Mark
@ItsMe_Philippines15 күн бұрын
Yes, there is multiple empty locations around me. As far as how much square meter it goes for, the price is all over the place. I’ve seen places as low as 3 to 400 and as high as 3K. But that’s because it’s out in the province and it’s two hours from the mall or airport.
@markeuringer810615 күн бұрын
Just an addendum to my prior queries…. Have you any thought to purchase next door lots and make a bigger property for yourself or even buy and build house on other properties and be a landlord and rent stuff out ? Just curious and something I’d consider if I did not have an unsold property in the middle of Manila to deal with

Hey Cory, You said something interesting regarding the hallow blocks you had delivered. You said you have a hallow block press that makes heavier ones for when you did your house construction. My question is are they similar in size to a cement block in the US. I have always thought that the typical hallow blocks used in the Philippines are just not strong enough in size and strength to use for house construction. What are your thoughts after going through the house construction process there?
@ItsMe_Philippines13 күн бұрын
Yes, I believe they are the same size and that's why we bought our own block press to make larger/stronger ones. The small local ones are also very weak because of the mix ratio and I can punch right through them.

@ Thank you for the reply! Yes! I have noticed that with the videos I have watched on house builds there. Very smart buying your own press!! What ratio of sand to cement did you use during the making of blocks for your house construction?

@@tonymars1093 Let me ask the foremen when I see him to ask if he remembers. It was years ago so I don't remember but I know they were 5 times stronger this way and ended up being the same price.

@@ItsMe_Philippines Great, I would love to hear his answer if you remember to ask him. I think yours is one of the few that has been constructed correctly. I have heard others say that there are ways to make the hallow blocks stronger by reinforcing with rebar, etc but when they basically disintegrate over time because they are made so weak, that is a huge structural problem to overcome. Thanks again for your responses!

Hi Brother, stayed up all night to watch the Tyson fight , did you see it ? If not I won’t spoil it for you. Another nice video, now I’m taking my self to bed and sleep most of the morning away 😊👍👍

Yeah, I watched it. A little disappointed and I thought they’d be fighting with more aggression.

@@ItsMe_Philippines I’ll be curious how’s your cardio at 58. If anybody can do it, I guess it’s you. But I’m pretty sure Mike trained pretty hard for this. I agree with Blackbox. Father Time. It was sad to watch.

@@GlobalRevolution4All My father 69 is very active and still bikes. My oldest uncle at 81 still regularly works out, flies his planes, and teaches 10 hours a week. Point being, my cardio won't be the same at 57 as it was at 27 but that was not the issue in the fight. Mike's cardio looked SOLID in the training clips and then showed up and did not throw 20% of the punches he would have thrown at a punching bag. Point being, he held back, put on a show, and got paid.

What province are the guys in. I need to visit there one day. I think i prefer that to city life. As for the popcorn machine. I usually just pop mine in the microwave when i have the itch for popcorn which admittedly is very rare

We are just north of Dumaguete city but there’s nothing here to visit 😂

Shouldn't you treat the dirt/soil/floor of the chicken area, which I see is quite muddy? I think the mites might come from there.
