'Our Lives At Stake': Indian Students In Canada Face Deportation Risk

700 students face the risk of being deported from Canada. These 700 students, mostly from Punjab, are at the risk of being expelled from Canada as authorities say they secured visas on the basis of fake admission letters for Canadian universities. The students say that their lives are at stake as some have been given a deportation date of June 30th, having less than a month to prepare. They say that they came to Canada in 2018, but their 'fake letters' came to light when they applied for permanent residency. The students narrate how they were allegedly scammed by educational consultants while they appeal for the Indian Government's intervention.

Just to add a point, I'm in Canada for 1.5 years . I personally had met almost 10 Punjabi guys, who openly admitted that they GOT direct PR by submitting fake experiences . 1 guy told me he submitted 10 years of exp as a teacher, where in reality he literally had 0 exp. He now works in a saloon and cant even speak English, when asked about it he said, why to learn English, when he can go around and get connections just by speaking punjabi .

It wz my desire to see W.coast & Alaska....that is when Canada rejected my Visa on frivolous grounds...I'm a social worker for 30 yrs and recognized by my country on many occasions... I'm visiting Australia, NZ , Japan and Korea this year and nxt year....so its OK if I die without seeing Canada....(India I've seen about 60+%)

However, it is important to note that some of these individuals seek assistance from fraudulent consultants, middlemen brokers, and agencies, and willingly pay for their services. In reality, they may be deceiving themselves instead of being deceived by others. Every day, many people enter Canada through immigration loopholes and intermediary agencies, using counterfeit student or skilled worker visas, documents, credentials, and certificates. Unfortunately, some of these individuals do not even use their genuine surnames, making it difficult to identify their true identities. It seems that some Canadian politicians and officials have played a role in organizing and setting up various systems. However, there appears to be a lack of auditing, inquiries, inspection, or control in place to prevent systematic fraud and corruption. It is disappointing that the Canadian government has not taken a more proactive approach to address these issues. It is a matter of shame! In fact, not only 700 but most of the Indian students who already entered Canada are fake, liars and fraud people. All of them should be deported or restricted from staying in Canada as We don’t want any of them in our peaceful country.

Stop protesting, you don't have the "permanent resident status", you have NO right and entitlement yet. As a Canadian born half Indian I completely agree with her. My grandparents' generation came to Canada and other countries and adapted to the Western culture while still holding onto their traditional ways. They worked extremely hard to build themselves up. They never took any social assistance because they were determined to make it on their own work ethic, and it was a pride issue as well. They built a strong reputation and gave us a better life. Now, anyone and everyone is slipping through the cracks, and these immigrants that come feel no need to change their ways because its basically like India here for them, and they are way too comfortable. I am so ashamed of these people and hate that they have tarnished our great reputation. They have ruined what took decades to achieve within a matter of a few years. I understand that it's not all, but it's enough that the world has noticed, and it sickens me to my core. I'm glad this woman said this, not that it matters because these uneducated people will not change.
