My biggest tip is make wise real estate investments. We’ve been married 9 years and our first house was 70,000 and we sold it 4 years later for 110,000. We used what we made off the house as our down payment for our second. Our second was 165,000. We just closed Monday and sold it for 360,000. It was the worst house in the best neighborhood. We never planned to leave, but the mortgage was large and we felt God tugging on our hearts to be debt free. So we downsized to a house half the size of our last house, but we paid cash for it!! People say it can’t be done but it can! You just have to make good investments and be willing to sacrifice.

That is awesome!! Its really so true. I recently discovered Weathbuilders and they teach that real estate is the best way to build generational wealth. Grateful for this wisdom! ❤️

I watched this weeks ago but am just now commenting because I am still thinking about this. I don't usually take interest in money advice, but what I loved the most about this is your focus on how we spend our money shows/creates our "appetites". This video is more about live and intentionality than money, and I think that is a great inpiration.

How are your videos not waaaay more popular? You are súch an inspiration to us, I have made so many changes upon your recommendations and it has improved our lives for the better by a huge stretch. It wasn't bad for sure, but I now no longer feel overwhelmed by the regular, I feel in control of life (you know, as far as we have control over our lives - life happens), more hopeful I can actually reach my dreams, more restful and enthousiastic to keep on growing. Seeing the huge impact you have on our lives I truly do not understand how your videos are not viewed by the millions.

My husband and I have done well in real estate and have a gorgeous home. I'm so blessed. But all of my furniture is still used. I spend a lot of time scouring secondhand sources for quality pieces and refinish them. I wanted a big dining table and my husband built one. I grow much of my own food and buy in bulk. You have to keep a frugal mindset even when you're doing "well." That's where financial peace comes in.

Definitely a proven method. :) My aunt and uncle are proof of this - they fixed up a couple houses and now live in a 4k sq ft home in the wealthiest suburb of Indiana. Their current home has at least tripled in value since they bought it. They slowly updated things to be more of a luxury level and each step was done pretty frugally. My grandpa made a ton of furniture for them, as well as their kitchen cabinets. Fifteen years after they bought the house, they won a basement remodel from an auction at their church. It all adds up!!

Love the tip on having like minded community. Our community is so influential. Planning on going hard for the rest of the year and then be debt free.

Yeah it's sad that debt is the mindset of most people. They think having lots of debt is normal and that it won't ever go away. There is hope.

Thanks for this video. Yes joining your bank account is step number 1. It is surprising how many couples don’t do this. Also great point about not making it an idol 🙌🏼 lots of great money people on KZbin which is a blessing.

Really inspirational how you two buckle down and worked hard on changing your mindset to achieve what you wanted to see in your life 🎉 Thank you for the practical practical advice on being around, or at least listening to people of the same mindset of what you’re trying to accomplish, that does make an enormous difference in being able to accomplish it .

We have 9 children, and if we would have waited to have them until we were financially ready we wouldn’t have any children to this day. I’ve gone through some pregnancies without any prenatal care and then just went to the hospital to deliver. (I’m not recommending it, but honestly, for thousands of years women had babies without prenatal care. It wasn’t up until the 20th century that it began to be a thing). I know that’s not the only expense with children, but it’s a huge one right at the start.
