I understand Shauneall was young but so was Traneall. I'm a middle child of 4. My mother passed when I was like 2. My grandmother scooped us up so we wouldn't go into foster homes. Father was high on dope. But growing up we had an older female cousin who told me something that sticks with me to this day, she said, "If someone attacks you, your siblings, your cousins, you all fight together." She was like, "Someone kik them in their ankles, someone ht them in the privates, someone jump on their back and so on .... ... until the threat is terminated. This is what I've passed on to my children. Siblings stick together, no matter what. 9x💯

The issue at hand here is the loss of their mother and the trauma that comes with that. One of the sisters witnessed her mother being murdered. There’s a huge elephant in the room. The fact that they’re not great at communicating with what’s really bothering them is getting lost in them bickering and being hateful towards each other. Both of them were in the same tragic situation. They were both young and dealt with their abuse in the way they both knew best. There’s no wrong person here. There’s just trauma that needs to be addressed and properly dealt with.

My stepmom tried verbally abusing her when I was only 5 and even then I not only stood up for her but would tell my dad every single time. I would die for my little sister so I cannot physically understand knowing my sister is getting HEAVILY abused and I have the chance to take her out of it and not doing it. I’ve seen people die. I saw my aunt hang herself, but none of that ever caused me to turn my back on my sister. I understand how yall could say the younger sister has misplaced anger but yall are missing the part where she said the older sister lied. And i can also understand why she mightve done that, but what she doesnt understand is that she hindered her sister and herself from them getting the help they needed. As black people we know the bad side of the system but when youre in need its good to have that option. Maybe im crazy for thinking this way but this is coming from someone whos lived through something traumatic like this. I lost my older brother to police brutality.

I thought so too. And I have a feeling that yes while both of them were abused, the little sister experienced the worst of it. I can definitely understand the younger sister pain, there is a lot of pain that comes from victims who decide to speak out about their situation for help, and instead of getting the help that she longed for, she was made to be a lier by not only her abusers, but her sister as well. Although she can’t really blame her sister, she probably feels her sister doesn’t fully understand the trauma and pain that brought her, even after she left the house. But honestly it’s the system that failed her, like they fail millions of children everyday for years now! Forget an investigator, cps should have been checking on that girl everyday! This is why many victims don’t report or get the help they need especially kids!

Wait.... wasn't the older sister 14 yrs old and old enough to work? It's not like she was 7 8 or 9. They were teenagers when this was occurring. People young and old should be held accountable for their lies because it can cause great harm to others. My sister use to lie on me growing up and i would get into so much trouble. I tried to tell my mother that she was lying but she did not believe me until we were in our early teens. My sister still lies to this day because she was never held accountable at that early age. We are cool but she knows i dont trust her. I hope they get help from a therapist that wont sugar coat telling them the truth from both viewpoints....the older sister is never going to forget that lie her sister told but she will need to learn how to deal with it because its her sister and they are all that each other has. At least the older sister apologized. My sister doesnt apologize and never takes accountability for the lies that she tells and the affects it has on so many lives.
