In this video I explain what morning time or morning basket is and how we utilize it in our homeschool. I homeschool my preschool twins and kindergartener and these books and items have been so helpful in creating a beautiful morning time tradition for us. I have found that the days when we do morning time or morning basket, we are all happier and more in sync. I am able to pour my time and attention into the kids and "fill up their cups" first thing in the morning and it makes our days go smoother.
After our morning basket, we move into our subjects. For my preschool boys we use the good and the beautiful pre-k and we have really been enjoying that. For my kindergartener we also use the good and the beautiful language arts and the good and the beautiful math K.

Thank you for giving me some good book recommendations for my morning basket. I have 2 girls ages 5 and 3. This fall will be my first year homeschooling. I have so many ideas!! I will be using the good and the beautiful LA and math Kindergarten curriculum for my 5 year old. And I'm thinking I'll just do some little books, coloring pages for my 3 year old and if she wants to try school I will let her but I wont be enforcing it with curriculum at this time. But so excited to put together a morning basket for both of them.

Hi there! New to your channel and to the idea of a morning basket but I love it! Where was your baby when you would do this? Did you time with naps? Our little one is not quite walking and very very busy! I don’t know if we could go longer than 10 minutes with her awake.
@RaisingNobles
@RaisingNobles 4 жыл бұрын
Hello and welcome! 💛 I used to time it when my baby was sleeping when she took naps in the morning, but now she only naps in the afternoon so she will join in with us. I think one of my more recent day in the life videos shows her coloring at the table and “participating” with us. I also have a read aloud activities video that has some fun ideas for little ones to do while you read, do school or morning basket. I hope that helps!
