We love playing Satisfactory and decided to make costumes from the video game for Dragon Con! Bill 3D modeled the helmet, then 3D printed and assembled all the pieces. The helmets have visors, lights, and even a cooling fan!

I think it goes without saying that if you folks figure out how to mass produce these at even 90% of that quality, maybe less than $250, and even without the custom fit/scaling, I'm sure they would sell. I know I would buy one.

I recently learned another great technique for joining 3d printed parts. You can put a bit of filament in the chuck of a dremel, turn it on, and use it to "paint" over the seams. The friction between the spinning filament and the printed surface will melt both just a little bit, and leave something that looks exactly like a welded metal seam. It's super strong and the subtle welded texture really helps your brain convince itself that it's looking at a real piece of equipment.

Hey there, Have you ever thought about using helmet pad kits for the inside of the helmet? Tactical helmets all use these pads that velcro on the inside of their helmets and can purchased in different sizes, thicknesses, padding densities, shapes, etc, as well as mixed and matched so as to be custom fitted and help from the user from getting hotspots from long term wearing. They also have different materials that wrap around the foam for moister wicking. These can be purchased from Amazon, Airsoft stores, tactical helmet sellers etc and have a wide price range so they do not need to be expensive. Just a thought. 😊😊😊

Your "goo" does not need air to dry. It needs off gassing to be able to escape. Acetone is a VOC, Volatile Organic Compound. It evaporates very quickly causing the cold sensation as it dries. The fumes are very flammable.
