Just a thought. As I have said I moved in Nov after 22 years in a home. Even if Rogers driving a rented truck. I would hire people to move everything into the truck. One swoop. It made life much easier for us considering we moved everything into storage and then had to move again when I found a home.

Hi Karen. I've watched you for a long time. I want to answer a Goodwill question for you: I am a wares processor. We have to process between 400-450 items a day....yes, that gives us less than a minute per item. A few videos back you came across Corning bowls and dishes. A lot of the wares processors price each item individually because it boosts our item count so that we are closer to meeting our "400-450" processed items per day. Each processor is required to sell $8,000 of items every 2 weeks. Tie Wraps work great to bundle the Metro Style rolling rack shelves. I like to use shrink wrap to bundle the legs into groups that I can lift, to control them as I carry them up and load the truck for the move. Loose, they're too much of a hassle. 😉

From this point on, never walk back up the stairs empty handed. Carry something on each trip, to stage upstairs that much closer to the front door, so the carrying is not all left for last. You both have a great attitude at this point. 😊

Moving a place with most things packed is a luxury for moving crews. Back when we cleared delinquent Storage Units, it was always easier/faster to clear a big unit that had been packed in square boxes and bins, as opposed to loose items. Many "Self-Movers" try to save money with labor, but a crew earns their cash by speeding up the process.
