Unfortunately, the only way to fix that kind of issue is to exit the game. Don't use the pause menu, just tab out and x out the game. Then restart. It works 50% of the time, every time. The qualifying order goes get saved if I remember correctly.

Yo FYI Michael, If you DNF a car in Qualifying again at some point, A little tip for you. As long as the DNF'd "Shadow Car" is facing the right direction no matter where it is on the track, The race will remain green and you'll be able to continue with the race like normal. The caution will only be called if the car is FULLY backwards OR upside down. Restarting usually resets the car in a different area/position. Also if you realize quickly you DNF'd a car, If you can, Just retire from the qualifying session and the game won't drop the car on track and it'll run like normal. Hope this helps.

Michael when you click retire, you forfeit the whole race and you don't get money for finishing positions either. You only get money for sponsors for some reason. Also if you dnf a guy in qualifying, you just have to restart over and over until you can eventually get going. It only does the cautionfest if the car is turned completely around or upside down, if they are facing the right way it will stay green. I've done it tons of time. Also you have to reapply setups at certain tracks in these eutechnyx games. I've got the whole list if you want it.

i ended up destroying someone during Dega qualifying and then the rest of qualifying was literally group qualifying for no reason (luckily the race was normal) 7:40 maybe try the restart feature that usually works

Hey so easiest way to exit the race without retiring is just to close the game and reopen it. It cant save progress before you do that so you should be able to run it again.
