I’m so proud for you! Obviously I have no clue how you felt, but we crossed similar paths.At first, you wouldn’t let go. You couldn’t. She was somehow still out there, and you had to do something. But you couldn’t. You already did everything. Now your stuck. It hits you. You can’t control your feelings. Sometimes, you held your feelings in. Then you couldn’t dry when you wanted too. You are stuck again. But your little birdy will be looking down at you… feeling helpless as well, trying to help you, but can’t. They are happy where they are up in heaven, but you cant seem to stop missing them. One day you are suddenly kind of okay. You made it, and now you can focus, and live, without living in misery! Congrats. You have a reason to live… and you do! Thank you for my therapy session… hope you enjoyed!

We have two conures (jenday is 4 dusky is 1) a sulphur crested cockatoo that’s 37 yo resort rescue. We have bought bird tricks boxes for all three and I have to say the conures love the bigger ones for our cockatoo! Bird tricks are top notch and the boxes are such a better deal on the big toys as opposed to going to Petco etc since you know they’re all natural and won’t hurt our babies!!

I'm glad you said that you guys never leave animals unsupervised around the birds. I was going to warn about dogs and bird and obviously cats. My dog was sort of like Lilly on the fact that she would carry around the bird on her back and protect her. But one day she just changed her mind and did what animals do. I was heartbroken and haven't had a bird since. I'm glad you have done research on your animals and know what's best for them.
