Remember, Bas was a jazz musician/composer/arranger and Pete was in a Ska band. They know musical structure, phrasing (scanting which lead to rap) and swing. No surprise they can do this.

Yeah I was just listening to Bas' old piano tracks, he's a musician through and through, and yes as a result his rap cadences are off the hook. Mad syncopation and he can really play keys well, search for "Basil Preuveneers". I didn't know Pete was in a ska band, dat cool, and the structure in ska is very off-beat and syncopated too. Which again really suits their drill/rap style. Guys are legit bang on time, when they want to be.
