Bas is a LOT of things. Per BBC and other articles online, he is: former barenuckle undergruond street fighter (given his dad ran these illegal fights), high school drop out (after knocking out a teacher), former military, former carpet salesman, former *actor*, former cruise ship pianist, former music teacher, and has a lso put out an album of piano, and then the whole jail time thing (there's a clip on youtube where the snooker gang and Pete come to see Bas as he's being let out of prison). -- This is why I believe P&B when they (and the BBC and other articles) sary that they write their own shit. These guys have a LOT of life experience and creative experience. They truly love the art of rap (which is the entire r eason Pete proposed the idea in the first place). At least one of them an clearly perform and compose music. They're probably well-read. They have access to their grandsons who are likewise talented. There's literally no reason to dispute that they write their own shit, while having been under the tutilage and influence of their grandsons (just as you would f ind a mentor or teacher of things you enjoy in any passion or field to show you the ropes). --- I'm so damn excited for their album. I hope the fans show up in the sales numbers. Imagine seeing t hese guys -- even if it's very late in life -- living the dream of topping the charts and living out their last years as legends.

They really worked for it. They said in an early interview with Fumez the engineer that they intended to study and get better. Ive been on to them since their very first video. You can hear the growth from raw talent, their study of hip hop beyond drill, to where now they are more versatile than many UK drill artists.They arent even drill artists anymore. They are Hip Hop!
