When I visit South Korea, I do not like to go to very touristy places. I like exploring the everyday parts...that is why I love your videos. I went alone and walked and took their great public transportation, enjoyed every minute. So happy to explore with you.

@hashtag-dreamer thank you so much! It's so much fun exploring around the non-touristy places here and just seeing how things are done. Really lucky to have all of the good transportation to do it all too! Really happy you got to explore here, and hopefully we can show some more interesting places! Take care eh!

Thanks for this beautiful video! As I’m currently living here in Busan, I realize that there are still many undiscovered places to see here especially in the countryside areas like Gijang-gun, Geumjeong and many others especially for nature lovers! Thanks Matt and Yujin for sharing this! Also, when you shared the clip of Busan East coast, I did remember how tough it was for me to ride from Goseong all the way to Haeundae which is an hour away from where I’m living at the moment. But I am surrounded by beautiful sceneries with beautiful people along the way! 💙💙💙

@MatthewMabborang thanks so much for watching! I imagine there are so many nice areas around Busan. Still have tons left to explore, and Goseong to Haeundae was by far the hardest bike ride that Yujin and I have been on, but so rewarding arriving in Haeundae at the end to just relax and celebrate! All the best, and hope to see you out in Korea's natural habitats someday! 😊

Lmao, thank you for keeping my uncles at least a meter apart, kind sir (jk haha). This is great, Yeosu's atmosphere is super different from my vague preconceptions, definitely inclined to take a look myself. It helps-- pollution aside-- that I'm pretty drawn to industrial landscapes, heh. And I could (and have!) watch an entire channel about temples in various natural environments, so that was lovely!

I lived in Pusan for 2 years in the 90s (I still can't spell it Busan), and Songjeong Beach was the best back then. Laid back, almost sleepy. Songjeong today sort of looks like what Haeundae looked like then. I went to Haeundae about 18 months ago, and I could not believe how Boomin' it was with tourists.
@lostthenfound
@lostthenfound 2 ай бұрын
@aletheia3 haha Pusan and Taegu! Before my time, but the old spelling is really cool when you see it on some of the older signs! Songjeong is definitely the new Haeundae these days. It's a little touristy for sure, but I'd say mostly Korean tourists as surfing got super popular to young Koreans these days. Haeundae is insane these days eh! Almost like going to a theme park.

It so nice to have all the history of these cities explained in English. I'm sure even Koreans have learned a thing or two from your videos. Last year about 12 of my friends went to Busan for a weekend trip and I stayed at Signia hotel. It was a total waste of money since Signia and Haeundae area kinda sucked since over-priced and tourist restaurants are not good. Haedong seems much better. Thanks for the great info. Also I've always wondered what it would be like to stay in one of those Signial hotels. I think they are the most luxury hotels in all of Korea, so I will probably never know! Haha. It was so cool to see you visiting places I'd been myself, though back in 2014/2015. The Yi Sun-shin plaza looks wayyy more modern than I remember it. I used to work at the Yeosu Boys High School, super close to the Yeosu Expo you were walking past. And Spa Land was one of the places I visited when I had my very first taste of Korea way back in 2011, but it doesn't look very different from what I remember. My friend and I liked to move between the coldest and hottest sauna rooms as a challenge to ourselves, haha. If you ever go back to Yeosu you should try checking out Yeoso-dong. I lived in that area back in the day and even back then there was a big pedestrian street with loads of restaurants and bars on it. Loads of fun!
