After seeing too many videos from foreigners complaining about the Seoul culture (ex. materialism, over-competitive work/life balance, unfriendliness and social isolation, etc.); it's makes me appreciate your channel even more. You show the often overlooked real side of Korea, outside of Seoul, to foreigners who probably wouldn't know any better. They think Seoul represents all of Korea and that's all there is to our country and culture. You're doing Korea a huge service - so thank you!
@lostthenfound

@ICDeadPeeps thanks a lot for saying that! Seoul is a really competitive and fast paced environment that can make people feel a lot of emotions, including myself (I absolutely love Seoul, but sometimes it can be exhausting). However, like you said, outside of Seoul you can get a real feel for what the country of Korea is like, which is so different than Seoul! Haha. Definitely hope that a lot of people can see more of the country and it's beauty as time goes on, as it's really a special place!

Thank you for your honesty and transparency. 💛 Changing lifestyles can be expensive during the transition period. It also takes a lot of physical and mental energy. You first had to deal with the decluttering and packaging of your apartment, and then get used to a completely new situation. It was a honeymoon phase, but you might also have been in a little bit of a survival mode. Getting food into your belly and thinking of the finances came in last place during that phase. I’m glad to hear that you now have settled into van life and have the mental capacity to focus on everyday life. On a different note, I want to say that I really appreciate the storytelling and the small everyday things that you put into your videos. Like the man carrying the fish and the tidbit about the divers. 😊 Anyway, take care and I hope you have a great week! 🇰🇷🚐🇨🇦

Last month I took the bus out from Haeundae Beach and did this same Haeparang Trail backwards. I concur that it is an easy beautiful walk with plenty to see as you pass through the fishing villages. I was so impressed with South Korea on my visit to Seoul last year that I wanted to see as many trails in the Busan area as I could fit in: this was certainly a good pick. I think perhaps a 77 year old Canadian female wandering around wooded mountains and coastal trails might be considered unusual in other countries, so the freedom and safety factor are important and South Korea is my #1 destination in this regard. As a Canadian I have felt so energized by your enthusiasm and guidance. Thank you so much and keep up the great videos: the South Korean tourist department should certainly take advantage of your experiences and the exposure you are giving to all the hidden gems the country has to offer. Thanks

Glad to see that you guys are doing ok! Thanks for sharing your process with everybody. It's really inspirational to me, even without a van life, to see flexible planning start to make a dream come true. And it looks like that little shrine out on the rocky outcropping is for devotion to/reverence of the Dragon King (some viewers may not have encountered that dragons and similar creatures are significantly more associated with water than land across much of Asia)! Out of curiosity I just checked out a special TV broadcast on the subject, and they report that the shrine was built in the early 20th century in order to soothe the upset spirits of fishermen lost at sea. Love coming across nuggets like this thanks to your channel!
