Towing that heavy of a trailer especially with larger than stock tires I would recommend a re gear to help out with grades and acceleration. Also many times with larger wheels your trans won't go into final gear and with the re gear it allows the trans to go into 6/7. Not sure your mods just a recommendation.

Tacoma’s aren’t really setup to tow this much weight long term. Drum brakes in the rear, small coolers, unboxed frame in the rear, they just can’t take the continuous abuse. I’m willing to bet we see a Tundra in these videos sooner than later.

You will need to at least re-gear and tune the Tacoma. Your transmission is guarantee screaming trying to tow that with 35” tires and all that weight. Your gas mileage is probably horrible.

Spencer Always drain black tank before grey. That way the grey water washes the poop outta your hose! Just a tip if you do both at same time the black tank stuff can get into your grey tank and your whole camper will smell like pooo

@@nate9626 for all we know, if the info online is authentic it weighs about the same as a nisan titan and Toyota tundra which handle very well offroad. I think the only limit is how many pounds the cybertruck could haul. Wouldn't be suprised if the cybertruck was able to pull a bigger airstream that the one Spencer has from the fact its from tesla.

The TRD Pro towing that Airstream is WAY over its towing limits. the stock TRD Pro only has a 6400lb towing capacity. The total cargo carrying capacity for the stock TRD Pro is ONLY 980LBS. With the non-stock wheels and tires, the rack in the bed, and two people this due is WAY WAY over what is legal for the TRD Pro. He ever gets pulled over and they do a weight test, that rig will be sitting on the side of the road.

Black tanks are ment to be dumped when full. Dont keep black dump valve open when hooked up to sewer. Avoid the dreaded poo pyramid in the black tank.

Fantastic footage your videography is awesome and drone talent. I tow different trailers / RV's and boats. And very familiar with the Tacoma which is a great fun mid size truck. The Tacoma must be struggling towing an Airstreams more so you have the Tacoma on large wheels and raised. You're in a truck that had less Torque then engine HP's ouch! Looks great but sucks when towing over 3500 lbs dry weight. You have 5000 lbs plus pounds in dry weight just the Airstream ... Hard tow with that low torque truck! Anyway love the vids..

I can’t wait to own an airstream too! You should take all that weight off the truck and put it in the airstream, I mean the RTT might not fit but you don’t need that anymore when you’re towing but yea, try to put your weight in the trailer and lighten up the truck. Maybe even take off that lift so you’re not so nose high on the truck
