This is a walk around of our “new to us” 1992 Japanese domestic market Toyota crown Majesta. I would be grateful to talk to anybody that has information on these cars or owns one. There is virtually zero community online for these cars, and I don’t know anybody who knows anything about them. No part numbers cross to Toyota or Lexus dealerships, and it’s going to be very difficult to own without a community of other owners and enthusiasts. Please reach out!

i have a 1992 crown majesta aswell, just bought it! its basically stock besides coilovers and wheels and its my daily driver lol

Aweome!!!!! How's it ride with the coil overs compared to stock? And is there warning lights cause the air ride is gone?

@@DrewGarage definitely not as smooth probably its borderline "static" so its definitely an experience hahahah.. and surprisingly no not a single dash light at all

It´s kinda sad that many Japanese cars now have leather seats. I was surprised that even the Century now offers that. Fabric is way better.

i agree! Its funny, before i owned this dealership, i HAD TO have leather... in everything. I found though that i actually prefer cloth, but not the back-pack material they use now. The soft stuff like in the mastesta. I drove a 2006 Camry for a while and wondered why toyota stopped using that amazing fabric. The good news is there are thousands of JDM cars ready to come over! We have started carrying them for our dealership. Hope to have a couple in stock at any given time. Just ordered the cleanest Nissan Laurel I have ever seen! www.pellacars.com

I just won a 1995 JZS147 Majesta at the Japanese Auction. I have owned a Crown Royal Saloon S140 but it was super basic model. This platform is not the same as the Cressida ( Mark2, Cresta, Chaser, in Japan ) It is the same platform as the Aristo ( GS300). That is really all I know. I probably won't see this car until December or maybe after the first of the year. I will learn more about what can be used off the GS300 then. Looks like your getting a little community going @djafri84 I would like to know more about switching to the coil over, or is it obvious once you are looking at the car

Big time! Has many things even Lexus didn’t in 1992. I’ve been thinking of bringing in a celsior which is the actual LS400 but Japanese. They were available WAY more loaded than our ls400 but with cloth seats. Perfect vehicle if you ask me! Welcome to the channel thanks for subscribing! toyota century,toyota crown,toyota crown majesta and toyota celsior/lexus ls are gems.Your car is an immaculate and stock.The 1st Generation of Toyota Aristo/Lexus GS is a sportier version of your car.

Yea i am in LOVE. I miss it. Been in storage since November. Planning to drive it more this summer. Its my wife's, really, but she needs a hiace instead lol. Aristo was indeed based on Majesta but it was actually a little "lower" end. Thank goodness, though, cause just about any part I need can be adapted from one, though possibly only a temporary solution (like suspension). Other than Century, toyota offered no higher model in 1992 which blows my mind we are so blessed to have this! I have always been a 90s Toyota guy, to have this is major

So, i'm actually potentially buying a 1992 Crown Majesta ex-showcar soon, i would love to get in touch at some point if i do end up grabbing it, this one in question has 29k miles, and a custom bodykit, but otherwise drivetrain it is stock

Just got off the phone with Japan - the guy at the parts place was mind blown of my cars condition and concerned about parts availability. He was not far from Tokyo. Scary crap!

@@DrewGarage there are a handful of websites that do sell parts for it though, and for example the majority of the drivetrain is shared with american toyotas / lexus, ie the 2jzge etc, but Toyodiy even has Majesta specific items as well, the air struts do genuinely seem to be the most expensive portion of the car, on Toyodiy, they're 800 per side rear, and 1200 per side front
