In case Katina doesn't get back to you herself, taxes was a big reason for me, and we are 5 hours from my family in St Louis and 4 hours from her dad on the Illinois side of St Louis. She doesn't like cold weather, and our Nashville house is a lot more convenient with access to a more major airport and it's only like $13 to get downtown or $15 to the airport. We are also walking distance from a nice state park with a lake and 7 miles of walking trails. Most of the other no state income tax states are inconvenient if you plan on traveling all over the country.

Also, down the road here in Franklin, I'll bet Puckett's would invent a challenge for youse, and Kimbro's Pickin Parlor is the dive bar of musical dreams. They have live music, a side room full of instruments that anyone can play (or bring your own), and they have killer food as well. Congrats on your beautiful home.

Thanks for sharing a piece of your life with us. That is so nice of you and gracious! What the H with that "house looks sterile" comment. First, just because you think something, doesn't mean you have to say EVERYTHING out loud. Also, just because it is not cluttered and full of horrible accent walls or crap everywhere, doesn't mean it is sterile. It looks cozy, despite the size, the windows are gorgeous, and I wish I had that house, let alone that perfect kitchen. I love that island and cabinets/countertops! Plus, unlike when I go to my siblings, your refrigerator is actually presentable and clean. LOL I have seen a trend of microwaves placed lower, usually on the island. I would probably have some issues, but then again, I have issues when it is placed high above the stove since I am so short! Then that bedroom suite - I would never come out of that thing with that bathroom - shower is insane and that lovely tub. The walk through closet is amazing! Offices are so cool and tucked away like the guest "turlett". On another note, I keep cracking up at those cicadas! I used to work in Biology and one of the Professors would always bring a cicada over for me to talk to - funny enough, mine are screaming outside my house as I write this! I love also that as soon as you closed the door, it was fairly quiet - you didn't suffer from most of the noise of the cicadas or anything else. I have so much noise in my neighborhood - that means your windows and insulation are awesome!
